Is it too late in the game to try and switch rooms and still get the free dining deal?? We're at ASSp starting Wednesday night but now I'm stressing that it might not be enough room for us. I think this promo ended in July or Aug to book didn't it? I've already gotten the ok to move resorts from DH :thumbsup2 so I was going to try and call to see what I could juggle around knowing I'd have to pay the difference today on the phone.

If it's not too late, could anyone provide the code so I can be sure it's applied to our room?

TIA :worship:

Disney will have the code already assigned to your reservation so IF they allow you to switch resorts and keep the code, they will not need you to provide the code to them again.

I would just call WDW and see if they will allow you to upgrade. Often they will let you spend MORE money, but not LESS after the 45 day deadline. I assume that you want to upgrade to a moderate. Be aware that you would get a bit more room at a moderate, but the beds will be the same size and you will still have only 1 bathroom. CBR has the biggest rooms.

If they won't let you upgrade, you'll be able to work things out ... you'll be a little squished but that's OK. A squished day at WDW is better than a day at home :).

Just my 2 cents.
We have stayed at the AllStars for all of our vacations. We have never felt squished. We have 3 kids, so by the rules we need 2 rooms. So grandma and grandpa go with us and our oldest sleeps in their room but all the stuff for our family of 5 is in our room. (We bring a dorm fridge, luggage, lots of souvineers and we don't put anything in their room.) She gets dressed, showered etc in our room. If not for the rule we'd be fine with all 5 of us in the room. It isn't huge, but it's fine. We did stay the 5 of us without Gma &Gpa once before our youngest was 3, and it was fine (we had a pack and play then too). I am not telling you not to upgrade if that is what you want to do, but if you can't, I think you will still have a nice vacation.

So true! :goodvibes DS4 is having a hard time figuring out why I'm worried about where people are sleeping as he doesn't know DMIL is surprising him on the trip! We've stayed in hotels before and typically he sleeps with me and DS1 sleeps with DH. He's really racking his brain trying to figure out why that won't work this time! :rolleyes1

Even if you upgrade, you'll still have the bed problem unless you spend a WHOLE lot more on a deluxe with a day bed. I assume they your older son will sleep with grandma and the younger in a pack-n-play. Since it will be a surprise, your 3-year old should be thrilled! If worse comes to worse, I have heard of some people managing to get a twin inflatable mattress in a value resort between the bed and the window.

ETA: parts of POR have trundle beds, but I have heard that they are not big enough for adults.

Thanks so much for everyone's help! I really appreciate it. I didn't have time to call on my lunch hour so it's looking like we'll be staying with what we've got for the time being. I don't plan on spending a ton of time in the room-we'll be coming back for the little one to take a nap and the older one to swim, but other than that, coming back at night to sleep and that's about it really. I'm trying to convince myself that we'll be alright with what we've got :)

If you do decided to change, when you call you will need to ask for someone in guest services. A front line CM can not make a change on a package that is past the booking date expiration. So tell them you are thinking about changing and want to see if there is any availability else where. Tell the CM that it is past the booking date and you understand that a Guest Services member needs to handle this. They may put you on hold and talk to guest services themselves or transfer you.

I would wonder if it could be done just due to being inside a 72 hour window. I don't know that it could be modified since it is less than three days prior to check in. :confused3
