Too late for best rate...any hope?

We just decided to take a Disney trip in November. I know I am too close for the "best rate", but I called Disney and they said the AP rates are only out through October 4th. Does this mean there is still hope for me? I have not been paying attention to this new AP program since I thought we wouldnt be traveling to Disney until at least the spring. The rate I was quoted was $340 a night at WL, or $270 at WL, courtyard view with AAA. I love the WL, but I dont feel its worth almost $300 a night, especially in November!

but who knows?!!! Even the CM's really have no idea at this point. *If* AP rates are released past Oct 4, best guess seems to be it will be around 8/25. In the meantime, can you check AAA rates which are available?

I too missed booking the best rate by a couple of days because we didnt know dh exact schedule. I have an ap, but I am not holding my breath waiting to play disney rate roulette. I was looking for dec 1-3 and I know its the huge mousefest so the world will be crowded and the cheerleaders are coming, the christmas parade taping etc. We need a deluxe for 5. We were already being at the swan because of a conference for dh, well thanks to a nice poster here I got the mousefest rate at the swan for $129 a night for those 3 nights., at that price I really dont care what disneys " best rate" is, I have gotten THE BEST rate!!

Im in the same boat. I missed the Best Rate but just a few days. I wanted to go In November, but had to wait and see about the kids & school. Then we were playing around with where to stay this trip. By the time I got to the passholders section to check out prices, I was too late. I hate this 120 day out thing! I dont think it should be quite that far in advance. Esp when AP holders seem to try and get rather last minute trips in. BUT.. Now I have to wait for the AP rates to be released. and thats IF they are released. I went to travelocity and can get a package thru them for value resorts from between 1399 - 1700. That is 6 nights, 4 round trip air fares, and all taxes and fees. The difference in the prices is the flights you choose. Im still going to wait until the end of the month to see if they come out. If by the First week of sept. they arent out, I may have to start searching travelocity and other packages. Or try AAA. sigh..
