Too Book My Desired Trip in May I need 1 Point???

I am using the remainder of my UY 07 Point (October) and Borrowing all of my use Year 08 Points to book a trip in May...I am one short...What can I do? Other then book different place or dates...

Go to the rent/trade board and see if anyone will transfer a point into your account. But being that it is a once a year deal you may have to pay a premium for the one point,

Pay cash DVC room rate for one day and then bank or use the remaining points later. It may be difficult to get a good samaritan to go to the trouble for the extra point. If money's tight you may have better luck renting the last nights points as a transfer on the open market to pay for the cash night.

If this looks like it will be annual problem, I'd buy more points.

I'm new to this, so bear with me. I just had my wait list come through for a standard studio at bwv as opposed to a preferred view, leaving me with 1 point that I cannot use or bank, that point was borrowed from my 2008 u/y. My u/y is April so that point will expire at the end of March. If I were to transfer that point to the op could they use it when they want to? Or does it still expire at the end of March?

I don't think you can transfer borrowed points. (or banked points for that matter).

However, if you transfer current year points, I do think they can be subsequently banked by the person who receives them.
