Hi -

We are travelling Dec 10 -18 2016 to Orlando & we plan on 2 days at Universal (staying at POP though)

Anyway, we know that in 2017 r we will be travelling for roughly the same time (50th bday celebration) but with both kids & significant others.

Long story short.

AP looks like its the same price as a 2 day multi park pass..

I need to know about Universal AP. dumb question- If we buy them & use them for the first time on dec 11 2016... that means they are good till dec 10 2017 correct?

thanks in advance.

Just like with Disney, if you use an AP for the first time on December 11 2016, you can use the AP until the end of the day December 11 2017.

Power Pass is $259 for non-Florida residents. $20 more than the 4 day park to park tickets.

Make sure you are not looking at the FLorida AP page.

Yes, but a 2 day park to park is $234 if purchased online (OP said they were only going 2 days). So if they go twice that's $468, and the power pass is a much better deal at $277. A 2 day single park ticket is $181, so either way they come out ahead if going twice in a year.

thanks for the clarification damo.

And Georgina - those are the exact numbers I was looking for..

2 days this year (park to park) its 234 a person.
2 days next year (park to park) its 234 a person. So a total of 468

a power pass would last me for this year 277 & get me in for free for a whole year.

It kind of seems to good to be true, bat at that rate...why wouldn't everyone who was going to universal for more 2 days just get the pass? I really I feel like I'm missing something.....

Not missing anything. People just say "I'll never use it again..." And don't get it. Then they're like DARN IT! Haha! Power pass is a blackout pass so make sure you check your dates. It seems you'd even benefit form a preferred pass if you are for sure going a second time though. That one has food discounts. Power pass doesn't.
