We had a 7:30 adv. seating on 10/2 and requested an outside table to watch
the parade. we were practically ignored! our waiter was the worst. slow to get our order, slow to bring the appetizers, extremely slow to bring the entree. we were disgusted. each table outside had a different waiter and they seemed very attentive. we ended up asking another waiter(because we hadn't seen ours in ages)about bread and she told us you had to order it, so we did. dying of thirst, we finally got our entrees; no breadsticks yet. we asked about them and were assured they were on the way. we waited a little while, but didn't want the steaks to get cold so we ate. another waiter finally brought the bread after we were finished with our meals. five minutes later our waiter showed up with breadsticks wondering where we got the other order. then we had the dining plan dessert with cold coffee, mmm. i tried to get hot coffee, but alas our waiter was gone! we couldn't wait to get out of there. never again.
all i want to know is, who do i complain to?

Sorry you had such a bad experience. In all reality you should have complained to the manager immediately. There really isn't much they can do after the fact.

Hope the rest of your trip was much better!

Couldn't agree with you more. Tony's is the PITS! Bad service, worse food and way overpriced! I would have complained immeditely but since you didn't you could always call guest services or write a letter, here is a recent thread on the same subject: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=929749 I hope it helps! Good Luck :shamrock: :shamrock:

Sounds like you had a bad waiter. If that is so. I hope you don't hold the entire restaurant guilty of bad service.

Hey Pam,

I feel your pain. A similiar thing happened to us at the Sci-Fi Dinner. We went to the Sci-Fi years back for lunch and had a great time. However, this time we went for dinner and the waiter was terrible and the food was awufl.

The waiter basically couldn't give us the time of day and the food was the worst. I was so mad and disgusted that I didn't even complain, (basically I just wanted to get out of there) but in reality the best time to address a situation like that is immediately. I'm mad at myself when I think about it because it really was a bad meal and a terrrible waiter.

It ruined our experience there because the place is really cool to look at. I just wanted to leave and get something decent to eat. This is strictly a lunch place only, stay away from the dinner entrees.

I have to say that the same thing happened to us at Mama Melroses this summer on the Fantasmic dinner package. Service so slow and the people around us seated 20 minutes after us had there food. Food was ok some of it was cold when it arrived at the table. Will never go back.

Pam,

I can understand your displeasure with Tony's, but from what I read it sounds like you should give the place another shot.

If I understand your post correctly, you got the window seat to watch the parade from. You didn't say anything negative about the quality of the food and your observation about the wait staff for the other tables makes it sound as if they were up to the task.

Sounds like you're condeming Tony's based on one experience from one bad CM.

And please, contact a manager immediately if this happens again. Get satisfaction & help the next customer who gets your table have a better experience.

I just want to back you up a bit! We had a terrible server (Scott) at Tony's on Sunday 10/2/05. The food was nothing to write home about. I've made better sauce with a can of crushed tomatoes, a spice rack and my imagination! The dessert platter was uninspired and inedible. The only item we truly enjoyed was the spinach and artichoke dip. The only reason we went there was that we had extra TS credits to use up and there weren't any other ADRs to be had at MK that day for lunch. We wasted 1 1/2 hours there for a lousy lunch. We will not be hurrying back.

Ive been to Tony's a few times with DD and DH. She always loved it b/c she could watch Lady and the Tramp until it was time to eat. Ive never gotten bad food in there, but it did seem pricy. All in all, a good place to stop and relax over a meal, IMHO. And a great location, right at the entrance to MK. A great way for me and the fam to relax after to drudgery of the 4 hour drive up from Miami and quickie hotel check in

I was there also on 10/2 before the party with a 5:40p ADR. It was our first visit.

I loved how the waiters and waitresses were made up for Halloween. I loved the atmosphere with Lady and the Tramp.

They were certainly hoppin busy but we liked our waitress very much. She was fast, friendly and helpful.

We also thought the breadsticks were free for everyone but realized AFTER we ordered our dinner that they needed to be ordered. Our waitress said that there'd be a chance our breadsticks would come with our meal and I said ok cause I knew that's usually the case when you order appetizers late. No problem.

The food and service was great. I'd definitely eat there again. I was pleasantly surprised.
