Please give me your thoughts on Tony's. My kids love spaghetti and Lady & the Tramp. Am trying to decide if it is worth it to eat here. Let me know what you think? We may do this for dinner prior to MVMCP.

Wish they still served breakfast here. They had the best Lady & the Tramp waffles!!! Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have eaten dinner at Tony's before & really liked it. I love the atmosphere. I think it would be a great place to eat before MVMCP since Tony's is located at the beginning of Main Street & you will be able to walk down the street & enjoy all the Christmas decorations & music with a full belly:p . I wish I was going to MVMCP this year. It has been 2 years since we went. :( . Oh well, this is not about me, it is about you (how do I always seem to make these threads about me? )

Anyway,

 Have a great trip!

for what it's worth (not a whole lot!)we ate there before for breakfast and loved it, lunch and hated it plus mucho bucks..also the thread on here about the worst meal you ever ate at wdw had a lot of "tonys" on it . it was still here with in the last week if you want to do a search.... something like "I hate to ask but"

We love to eat @ Tonys. We have a reservation before the MVMCP and I am so excited about that! We got the latest one available and won't have to leave the park to enter the party and I think that is just the greatest!

I love the food there, Italian is probably my favorite type of food to eat and I have always had a good meal there. The atmosphere is great and I think if you are going to the party it is the perfect place to eat because when you leave you will be right where you want to be - walking up Main Street with snow falling all around, a little ahead of the crowds!

Good luck:wave:

So long as your expectations are realistic,Tony's can be great. Its not gourmet Italian, certainly not homestyle Italian, but they provide a good menu especially for families. The closest thing I can compare it to is the Olive garden chain. Service was also very good. Lots of Lady and the Tramp all around the place.

I was leery of Tony's having read numerous bad comments on teh DIS. But at the last minute it was the only place for a lunch PS available in MK. So we tried it and I was VERY pleasantly surprised.

My guess is you and your kids would like it.

Our last trip we ate at Tony's while they had moved the Pooh character meal there while CP was closed. We did like it a lot, the food was good, service was good also.

FWIW.........IMHO..........Worst meal we ever had at WDW.
Service was slow....we had a waiter that was "Latino" and spoke fluid Spanish, but not very good English. (couldn't figure out why he was not working at Mexico in Epcot).
Food was WAY OVERPRICED for what you get. And the worst spaghetti and meatball (you only get one, that is the size of a baseball) I've ever tried. This was one place the entire family agreed was horrible.

We have eaten dinner there twice and loved it! In fact, while our 16 year old son was there for Magical Music Days he and 10 of his friends had dinner there also. I had the eggplant parm, and they served enough for two! Everyone's tastes are different!

We loved Tony's the last time we ate there and are looking forward to going back in 2.5 weeks! We haven't eaten there on our last few trips since we wanted to try some new places first, but we thought the food was great (though we too were skeptical after hearing some bad reviews) and the portions were huge. We loved it so much we came back the next mornign for breakfast, which was just as good as our dinner!

We loved our meal there, but that was 2 years ago. The place was relaxed and not too rushed. My kids enjoyed it, too.

I'm with the majority here. I have only eaten at Tony's once (for lunch) but found my entree and dessert to be very good. I'd definitely suggest it.

I do agree, however, that you must have realistic expectations that the food is not necessarily "authentic Italian food." This is a-ok with me, so I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

We had lunch at Tony's the week before last, and we both liked it. I couldn't finish my baked ziti! I did have one question though, is the dipping sauce they bring for your bread supposed to be cold?

We have eaten there every time, lately we have had a waiter by the name of "George" who could be the best waiter we've ever had at WDW. Last time however, we had some young guy who was of the 'you guys' type, and while ok, certainly didn't make the meal. We have never had a bad meal there, some just not as good as others. Ask for George. He is a consumate waiter, not 'on' or a 'fun guy'. Just very very good.

We love Tony's but mostly because I love Lady & the Tramp (DH's & my first date, we shared a plate of spaghetti when we were 16 *sigh*), not because it's a great restaurant.

Anyhow, the food was ok/good - not great. Some of the appetizers are good, better than the meals. If it's too pricey, consider getting an appetizer and splitting a meal.

Good luck.
