Going to Tonys at MK for first time, I have read such mixed reviews- what do you think is safe to order.... I was going to order Chix Parm, but looks like no one likes it! TX

I always get the steak and it is delish. Can't remember what DH orders, but he liked what he got each time we ate there. (He usually orders fish if it's on the menu). I guess people don't like the sauce used on the pasta dishes. I think you'll be fine. I like Tony's.

For us, the food was okay but we had terrible service and it really spoiled the meal.

We are going to try for lunch this time instead of dinner and keep our fingers crossed we get better service :)

We enjoyed the food and the service. My DD(then)15 liked it so much she wants to eat there twice on our next trip. ;)

Actually, I think Tony's has one of the best marinara sauces around. Our family loves it!!

We enjoyed our meals at Tony's. Both the food and the service were good.

DH had the spaghetti with sausage and I had the chicken parm. Would go there again.

Sorry, I don't remember what we ordered. All I remember is that it was the worst meal we've ever had in Disney World. I must have blocked the experience from my mind.

I think the problem here is consistency. My husband and I loved going here and it would be a must each trip. That was until we experienced the terrible service and food during one of our trips. It was so bad, we haven't been back since.

Hi. I've often wondered about Tonys and other Italian restaurants in Disney. Never have eaten Italian in wdw. I'm from northern nj and we have so much good Italian food around, I think I get spoiled. We counted 11 decent pizza/pasta places within 5 mi of our house and we're in a small town.

I'd be interested to know where others are from who find the food there less than great.

I went to both tonys and tutto this trip and it wasnt even a close call... Tonys blew tutto out of the water! For one thing tuttos gravy was wayyy too greasy and the pasta was barely cooked (and I love my pasta al dente) my mom is full italian and my brother is severely allergic to tree nuts and gluten so it is hard for us to find a good italian restaurant. So tonys is a great place for us where as tutto tasted like olive garden... As for what to get go for the chicken parm my brother had it allergy friendly and my sister had it normal and they were both delicious. Another option is the eggplant stack this is what I had and it also very good. Hope you enjoy!

DH really enjoys Tony's, I'm OK with it. We do have an ADR there for when we go in December.

We ate at Tony's in 2008 and thought it was fine. DH had the chicken parm, my father-in-law and I had the steak and my mother-in-law had the spaghetti. While we weren't overly impressed it certainly was not at all bad and we happened to have great service that night.

I ate at Tony's for the first time last year and had lunch

I really enjoyed the whole meal... I had the Panini of the Day (I forget what it was exactly but it was YUMMY!). And I loved the Tiramisu

The dessert that made me love tiramisu -

Yeha im from North NJ as well and to be honest I wouldn't eat at Tony's ever again. I tried Via Napoli and it was OK not great. According to reports the italian restaurant in the Swan and Dolphin i believe it is Il Mulino is supposed to be the best but they dont take the DDP. On a side note I havent tried Tutto since it was Alfredo's.

I have always ordered the steak and been quite happy (I tend to avoid tomato sauces like the plague) DH has had the ckn parm and been happy with it. The only complaint we have had was the kids spaghetti-neither one liked the sauce. Is it a be all end all, no-but we are way more about location than high dining

Tony's was so gross when we visited a few months back. It was awful, by far the grossest meal we've ever had at disney. I had the chicken parm, YUUUUCK!! My son had the spag/balls, I tried his meat ball and couldnt swallow it. Yes it was that gross. I honestly think their tomato/marinara sauce totally killed the dishes. I wouldnt go back, ever. Service was pretty lousy too. Although, i have noticed that ppl who have ordered things like steak & calamari really really enjoyed their food. So maybe just stay away from their tomato sauce??? :confused3
