We were looking at reviews for Tony's Town Square( we never ate there before) and we saw several negative reviews. Saying that the food is "cafeteria food" or "fake italian". Any truth to this? We are now considering to change our reservation from Tony's to anyother resturant in Magic Kingdom. Whats a good resturant in Magic Kingdom to try?! Thank-you!!

It is good food. Tutto Italia in Epcot is better, but both are different and both are good.

I alawasy enjoy a nice sandwich and sundaee at The Plaza.

Like any restaurant you will find both positive and negative reviews. We have been to Tony's numerous times. Sometimes it is good sometimes it is OK. I would suggest you try it. I am Italian, and love to cook, and while the food at Tony's is not outstanding, it is hardly cafeteria food.

ETA: We also really enjoy The Plaza as well.

I have never tried Tony's but my friend tried it last year and reallyenjoyed their meals and recommened we try it.I usually don't base my dining on opinions because everyone has different taste.

You didn't say lunch or dinner because that does make a difference with some places as far as menu items and cost (if you're not on the DDP).

We rotate lunches at MK because we like the Plaza, CP & LTT. We don't care for CP dinner because it's lunch plus $12 a person or more. We prefer LTT's lunch as we don't care for the all you can eat dinner. I believe the Plaza offers the same menu at both meals but we really like all 3 of them for lunch. And if you don't mind a sandwich or salad at dinner then the Plaza is a great place.

If you'd like to check out some reviews with photos on the Plaza and LTT lunch please visit my dining review website: www.disneydiningreviews.com Just select the Magic Kingdom and check out the reviews from there.

We ate at Tony's last year, and the food was terrible. The waiter told us their food comes in big plastic buckets and that nothing is made "fresh" at the restaurant. :sad2:What a disappointment ... we'll never go there again.

We find it extremely hard to find good Italian food out. Olive Garden is the epitome of what you describe as "fake Italian" for example. However, we actually found Tony's to be pretty good as far as an Italian restaurant is concerned. It's not necessarily like home or maybe as fancy as Tutto, but I had the Eggplant Parm and thought it was pretty tasty. It was thinly cut pieces of eggplant fried, layered, and with a decent (and not sweet thank god) red gravy. It's definitely reasonable too, so I would recommend :)
