Some Random Updates​

I played around with making the program for the ceremony. I stress out making things making sure they don't look cheesy. If there was some kind of website that made invitations and programs in small quantities instead of like 100 at a time, I would just have someone else do them...lol.

So, that being said, here is my attempt at a program. The inside pages are made with vellum and the outside is a double sided card stock. One side is the dark pink and the inside is the light pink. I used a silver stamp from Martha Stewart crafts to make the silver swirlies and the "P" monogram.

That will really come in handy for your when you have other events downt the road...b day parties, etc.

I'm thinking about duplicating what you did here or doing little pink scrolls with green ribbon and a pink tea rose tucked in the ribbon ....our invitations are scrolls.

Where did you get the silver ink?

Toni -- I have another question about your gorgeous programs. Did you put it through the printer twice? Once to print the vertical names and another time to print the inside text?

ETA: okay, now I get it! The inside print is on a piece of landscape oriented vellum. YAY!!! Gorgeous!

Oh, and your MoH dress is beautiful! We debated that color for DD, too, and ended up with watermelon. But the azalea is soooo pretty!

Yes I did get the box set!! Love it. The silver ink is also Martha Stewart. She has lots of different colors to choose from. You should duplicate the programs and I love the idea of the green with pink that would be so pretty!!! I would love to see a picture of yours when you get them done!!!

Yes actually I did print them twice. The cardstock was double sided so one side was the light pink and the other was the dark pink. I printed the names vertical on the light pink side first then I folded the cardstock over but not all the way just enough to leave that the vertical words would show. I also had to cut the vellum because it was going over the words so I had to make that a bit shorter. I printed everything landscape. I can't take credit for the vertical lettering I actually stole that idea from Lurkyloo!

I love the watermelon color too!! I was thinking about that color also! If you need anymore help with the programs just let me know!

I think the MOH dress will be perfect. The color is really pretty too I was a little nervous about my MOH becoming pregnant and not fitting in her dress which wouldn't have worked for a baby bump. She got pregnant about 2 weeks after our wedding, so we didn't have anything to worry about.

Exactly and from what I hear she is still trying. I hope she does though because I know she really wants to be pregnant. She loves the dress so that is all that matters to me.

Hair and Veil​

Well my mom was doing a trial run on my hair yesterday and said No I don't want to do your hair! I changed my mind!! LOL. Poor mommy. She said she will be too nervous that day and will feel rushed so she doesn't want anything to do with my hair. That was fine. This is why I wanted her to mess with my hair early so that in case she decided not to do it I would have time to get someone.

Today I booked my hair and make-up with Beaute Speciale. I spoke with Veronica and booked for me, my mom (make-up), my aunt (make-up) and my cousin/matron of honor (hair and make-up).

I am happy that I was able to schedule them and I can't wait to see what they can do for me!!

Since we are talking about hair, I thought I would post pictures of my veil. They arent the best pictures but I did the best I could...lol. I also have a picture of my tiara (I previously posted the website picture). The picture I took isnt as good but I will share it anyway.

The veil is white and has silver shiny thread going through the edges with crystal beads dangling off the edges. It matches my dress perfectly and the silver matches my accent color for the wedding!

Love the veil and tiara! I think booking someone else to do Hair and make-up is a great idea because that way your mom can sit back, relax, and enjoy your day with you!

I almost didn't, but the mother of the groom wanted to, so I decided I would go ahead and do it.
