Planning Session Trip Report!
June 6-June 15th
Since days 1 and 2 were basically traveling I have decided to combine them.
Day 1~Leaving for Florida
So starts my PS TR. I was so excited to leave to go to Florida but I HATE traveling. Any mode of transportation is torture for me but let me tell you I was not looking forward to the train!
The night before I got myself all packed up and made sure I had all of the things that I needed for my PS.
My suitcase. I hope I brought enough clothes!
My PS tools!
These pictures and books turned out to be very valuable!!!
Now I had to have the perfect items for my train ride to make sure I was comfortable!
My Disney Princess Blanket
My Expedition Everest Yetti which was my "pillow"
My hoodie in case it gets chilly on the train.
and of course my Mickey
Crocs!
Well now I was ready to go!!
So we left on Friday, June 6th and the limo came to pick up me, my mom and my aunt to take us to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station.
Here are some silly pictures of us in the limo.
My mom is the one in the black and white top.
What a bunch of dorks. Ok so we were off to Philly. Here are some pictures of Philly that I took from the limo.
Well we had never been on a train so we didn't really know the ropes. Did we check in, where do we check our bags. The Amtrak people are not the friendliest of folks. I guess when you have to deal with people every day you have to have a rough exterior? I don't know I am just giving them the benefit of the doubt. Well we finally figured everything out and found out the area we needed to go to get on the train. Here is a picture of the underground railroad..lol sorry I couldnt resist, but it really was underground. It was like a subway really.
Ok well we get on and I was somewhat disappointed with what I saw. When I looked up the seating on the website the seats looked like cozy puffy leather recliners. WELL...that is not what we sat in. Instead of the aforementioned seats we had hard, cloth, not at all puffy seats. We had a cabin assistant that was pretty cool. She seemed rough but she was actually great. She kept the car spotless and the bathrooms, much to my delight, very clean!
Here are some scenes in and out of the train.
This is my cousin Trudy and my Aunt Angie.
After about 5 hours on this stupid train, rocking and rolling around I started getting stir crazy. I wanted off of this thing and I called up my DF crying and telling him how horrible the train was and that I want to get off at the next stop! He calmed me down but I was still hating this long 19 hour ride ahead of me!! Darn my mom for not wanting to fly!!

Finally at around 11:30 I started getting sleepy. Sleeping on this thing was not the easiest of tasks. First of all I was rolled up in a fetal position trying to sleep on this chair. It was painful! My back and neck hurt so bad. I kept waking up from the pain but also from the wind shaking the train all over the place. I was scared to death that this stupid train was going to derail or something! All I wanted to do was go to sleep so that I could get to Orlando faster..lol.
Well after this horrible ordeal we finally got to Florida!!!
