So after reviewing the menus for each, it appears that at Kona the Tonga Toast is $15 but at Capt. Cooks it's only $8.49? Is there a difference in portion size? Am I missing something? Tonga Toast is on DWs Disney bucket list so want to make sure we do it up right! lol

TIA for any input

Tonga Toast appears to be the same size. It's not served with the strawberry sauce, although IMO, it's better with maple syrup. The Tonga Toast at Capt. is served with two sad pieces of bacon or 2 sausages.

I guess the price difference comes down to the fact that it's quick service vs. Table Service; find your table, vs. be seated.... or that strawberry syrup is really expensive stuff...

Its sweet enough that I just barely drizzle the maple syrup on it and I wasnt a fan of the strawberry sauce so we always get our Tonga Toast from Capt Cooks, we normally stay at Poly and I still havent eaten at Kona for breakfast, I had the strawberry sauce with the Tonga Toast when we ordered it through room service...

I'm pretty sure the price difference if from QS vs TS mostly. And also, as others mentioned, they don't include the strawberry compote sauce. You only get 1 "Tonga toast" at TS, same at QS.

This is exactly why we stoped going to Kona for Tonga Toast and just get it at Captain Cook's. We find it super sweet already without any sauce or syrup so we never used it at Kona anyway. We also think it is a very large portion because of how sweet and rich it is so we typically just split one order.
