Tomorrowland Terrace No Dessert Party Now ??

Since the dessert party is not being offered, can you sit in that area to watch the fireworks ? That was our go to spot for fireworks viewing until Disney realized how good the spot is and decided to make a dessert party they could charge for.
 
When we were there in the middle of July the section was roped off before the fireworks so you couldn't get in.
 
I was afraid of that. I guess that would just be another area they would have to clean up if they allowed people in.
 
I watched from the terrace on August 9. It is not the best viewing (off center and partly blocked) but it was wonderful to wait comfortably seated at a table before and then also during the show.

Yes, I recall the days when families with wheelchairs and strollers could seek refuge from the mean/rude Main Street fireworks crowds to watch them in peace and respect :)
