we are 121 days out from our trip....checked every day (1 week) and it's sold out....do they ever open up more seats?

They won't add extra seats, but you might be lucky enough to catch a cancellation.

I think you could only get a cancellation. They can't just add more tables to the venue and I never heard of them holding back any reservations for this. But 121 days is a long time, there could definitely be cancellations. They didn't even use to start booking it until 60 days put.

We are like 88 days out and ours dessert party has been booked for awhile. I only needed 4 tickets when I booked it and now I would love to get my hands on a 5th, but no luck with a cancellation yet for one ticket. Good luck!!!

just keep checking. I was able to book this around 60 days out. And while I was in the whole process of making my ADRS it would pop up every once in a while.

What's the quality like for the food in this?

Have always liked the basic premise of stuffing desserts and watching fireworks!

I am doing the party on April 17 and last week I was able to add 2 people to my reservation, so don't give up yet!

My family and I got to experience it last year and we won't be doing it again. The food is okay but the humidity makes some of the desserts soggy and it's a mad rush for some people that attend to the point where my husband had a whole dessert plate fall all over him. Needless to say he was pretty pissed. I'll save my money this year.

We did it in Sept & had a gorgeous view of the castle from our seats! The desserts all looked so good but were pretty bland...

It was our first night & we were exhausted, ended up hoping monorail back to our resort, Polynesian a d watching fireworks from the beach... Then felt grateful to walk the couple feet to the Hawaii building and to our room, grateful we weren't fighting the crowd to the monorail! lol

It's a beautiful concept, but for these dessert and Wishes lovers, not worth the money IMHO

Food is very meh. Not good. The view is amazing, though. I'd do it again just for that.

There is a sticky on this in the restaurant forum. Subscribe to it. It will tell you when particular month/time period opens up for reservation. It is usually 2months to 45 days out that it opens up. My unsolicited opinion is to look at it as a reserved spot to view the fireworks. The food was not that great and the buffet line was a bit chaotic. I would not do it again. You can find a nice spot in the Tomorrowland bridge for free. Better yet, make a reservation at CA grill for just desserts and watch the fireworks from the lookout spot.

You can now make ADRs for this 180 days out.

tried to book 180 days out at 4:08 pm central time and it was booked solid. same with BOG. I finally got a reservation for BOG but we had to split the party up and do two different times. I am hopeful we will get the dessert party

Our family loves it. It's expensive, but it's a treat for our family, mainly because we live far away from each other and it's like a little mini party. I personally think the desserts are pretty good (and I'm a chocolate snob!).

It is basically a reserved spot for fireworks - but with lots of elbow room, waiters, and food. We had trouble one year making ressies, but we split our party up (3 and 2) and got tables that way. We then requested to be seated together, and it was like having a ressie for 5! Don't know why that worked - it must have been a computer thing. The strange part about that was when we got in, we noticed that there were lots of empty tables (we were there early, so it wasn't like people were milling around - there really weren't that many people there). So, keep on trying, and try and get an reservation agent to talk with, not the computer. I must have spoke with 10 CMs before we got things settled. I think it's a nice and special way to celebrate.

Plus, Tink flies right above your head! That's neat!:thumbsup2

Bluejasmine that's no longer the case though was true as recently as last year. Dates are open well in advance now - I was able to book our May reservations and we are still well beyond 60 days.

That may be your experience, but as with everything disney, it changes and it has.
We made reservations for this on January 20 for July 22 this summer, as did our friends going the same night. Look on the website and you can see it is 180 days out now, in fact it is 180+10 for resort guests.

Not for the Dessert Party those reservations don't open until 2 months prior or less I know this from experience as do many others here

Not to discount your experience (and the experience of many others) but this is no longer true. I think it changed sometime this Fall? I booked at exactly 180 days out for my trip this June. As have many others here.
