Tomorrowland Terrace Bands No Longer after Sept 2015

Just a heads up: Found out last night that beginning Oct, 2015 bands will no longer be playing at Tomorrowland Terrace. My source is one of the bands that play at TT, that we saw perform last night outside of Disneyland. All the bands were told is that Disney is cancelling all performances for TT after Sept, as they are going in a diffferent direction . The word hiatus was used so there is a slight possibilty bands will return somewhere down the road. So if you have a fave band that performs at TT you might want to see them in Sept. If you have plans to eat at TT in Oct or later and anticipated live music you won't be hearing any bands play. Anyone displeased with this move be sure to sto
stop by City Hall and let them know!!

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I'm sad to see the 'new direction' being taken if it means eliminating the Disney bands I've enjoyed. I was so sad to watch my last performance of the Main St band recently . Since it's Disney, they may have something wonderful in the wings. Here's hoping the new direction will be great and not just an elimination of beloved entertainers.

I honestly think this will be okay. I'm assuming it has to do with some of the many changes happening and that the bands will be back, either in the same spot or a new, better spot eventually.

There is different info from another DLR source that this is for a refurb (Star Wars themed) that will last from mid-Sept. through Dec., when the new SW movie opens. This source does not say that the closure is permanent or that the bands will not return.

Bummer. I just renewed my annual pass and a lot of the reason I go to the parks is for the live music. I love watching those bands at TLT, particularly the 80z Allstars and Suburban Legends, and occasionally the Suffragettes. At least we will still have the Mad T Party band in DCA... I hope.

Currently, there are bands of various genres (e.g. 80's All Starz, Scot Bruce -- "Elvis," Hard Day's Night, Tomasina, etc.) playing most, if not every, nights.

I just saw Disneyland Today responsed on Facebook to a question about the TLT bands:

There are no plans to remove the Tomorrowland Terrace or the bands at the location.

One of the bands that plays there regularly was told that they will not be there from mid Sept. through Dec. As of now, they have not received any info that this has changed. I hope that DL Today is right. But too often it seems that the different departments at DL give out conflicting info.

They did put a new Tomorrowland sign up at the Magic Eye Theatre. Small change, but it's something.

You sound like me. I decided to ride the Monorail one night and when getting off in Tomorrowland I thought, what is that noise?? Live music? When did this start? I can't believe I never noticed it before. I guess it's because I always do Tomorrowland first thing in the morning and never really go back at night.

I know this is an older thread, but the Suffragettes (one of the TLT bands) announced that they'll be returning to the TLT stage on August 6th (they're only scheduled through October 1st)!

The Mad T Party Fan page on FB also re-posted a tentative schedule of which performers/bands will be performing in August.

Man, I hope they bring them back and other bands, too. I loved hearing bands there in Tomorrowland. Gave it a definite SoCal vibe.

Great catch! And with the 80s band coming back, even better. Just hoping they stay on through our November trip. That would be an awesome addition to the weekends.
