tomorrow my DD leaves for wdw and she has no clue.....

her DBF has this whole big surprise planned hes proposing!!!\

They were just there a month ago--she thought for sure he was going to do something then but when nothing happened she was down so that night he called and "asked for her hand"


he has everythign worked out but I dont know what hes going to tell her when there on the plane.

She fell for everything--we had 2 close calls but manged to cover them up
with alot of fast thinking!!

I can hardly wait till she calls on Sun to tell me what happened!!

this is just so cool and romantic!!!

hes sure a special guy and we're happy to have him in our family

We did this to our two kids two years ago for a one-week trip to UO. They did not have a clue! We picked my son up from his school on the last day of the school year. When he was called to the office by the Principal, he thought he was in trouble for his dirty locker!
We then picked my daughter up from her eighth-grade graduation party at a local amusement park. She was on one of those bumper boat rides at the time. Her mom and I stood at the dock looking very serious. She panicked, thinking someone had died ! We went straight to the airport, flew to MCO, took a limo to Portofino, and spent a week there, including the opening weekend (and PAP party) of Revenge of the Mummy!

sat nite all lose strings were tied up and everything got done with any problems. Everyone knew what needed to be done and where they were supposed to be...

now on to the airport...630am sun the phones rings and DH answers and its DD saying shes shaking cause theyre on the way to Orlando I said to DH he wont be able to put the ring on if shes shaking!!!

when they get to the airport to check in and were asked where the luggage was going DBF says orlando and DD pipes in no Detroit its a good thing the ticket agent didnt call security!!!!

DBF decides this is the right time to have her watch the tape he made about why they were going and not Tyler. He had it planned thats its still the brick he got for them which she fell for.


Just got off the phone with DD----they made it!!!

she couldnt believe that both DH and me knew and never let it slip out!!!

she still thinks shes going to see the brick--they only thing though she wants to see it as soon as they get to the hotel and DBF has something special planned to tonite so I dont know how hes going to hold her back.. I called him just to tell him that as an excuse he forget where they put the brick and has to find the papers.

its now offical my DD is engaged

every thing went perfectly!!!

he had ressies at Japan (thats were they ate for the 5 year anniv. of going together lat month)

while they were waiting I guess theres some of bridge at least thats how DD explained it I cant quite remember
anyway he got down on one knee and popped the question my DD said she was shaking so much he couldnt get the ring on

when she called Icould tell she still was teary eyed the first thing she said was mom Im engaged!!!!

then she said I cant believe that you were on it and nothing slipped!!!

I told her I guess you know theres no brick!!!

at this point she could care less about a brick!!!

she said was going to remember this nite for ever!!! shes alot like me so I told her you'll remember every detail

they were at EPCOT yesterday--so before all this she made a wish at the fountain when you first come in that would get married someday

I told her see how magical WDW is--your wish came true the same day

we both had a good laugh over the fact she fell for the brick story

she was serious too I can tell when shes just playing along!!

theres no date set yet--it will be sometime next year though.

Im sure glad everything went as planned--her DBF family as issues--as a matter of fact he lived with us for 6 months before they both moved out

we're both glad he settling down with our DD for the rest of his life Hes really a great guy and we're happy to welcome him into our family offically.
