Tom Sawyer Island

It is my understanding that legally WDW can not do ANYTHING to island.
kind of like a wetland. It was pay back to the state for all the development in central FL from wdw.

Years ago "the internet suggested" a small $$$ boutique hotel.

It's the only thing that theoretically might make any sense

You mean something like the Multi-Million Dollar Epic Failure that was the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel No way in the hell would Disney ever do anything even slightly close to that failure again. Well I take that back after the movie loses after like The Marvels, Strange World, Turning Red, Mulan (live action), Onward, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Good Dinosaur, Mars Needs Moms, and of course The 13th Warrior... well it does appear that Disney doesn't learn lessons very fast, so maybe they will turn in into a boutique hotel
