Does anyone know how much the tolls are from MCO to the All Stars?

Thanks!

If you have a rental car, make sure you understand how the tolls are processed. Most rental companies will tack on an "administrative fee" on top of the tolls.

I am renting a car and not buying a sun pass. I was told I could pay cash for tolls.

If I did it correctly, this website ( http://floridasturnpike.com/TollCalcV5/index.htm ) says $2.25 using cash.

The toll is $2.25 if you take the north exit from the airport onto the Beachline Expressway (528). If you take the south exit onto the Central Florida Greeneway (417), I believe the toll is $4.00. The routes are roughly the same length (23.5 miles versus 23.4 miles), so mapping websites might offer different results. Google Maps defaults to the fastest, which is the $2.25 route right now at 3:30am. But, Bing Maps uses the shortest distance, which is the $4.00 way.

That's great. Some people aren't familiar with how tolls work with rental cars, which is why I mentioned it.

For 417 and 528 (I generally take 417 between airport and WDW, and 528 between airport and universal) I get a roll of quarters and around ten ones, and know I'm covered.

It's especially good to have that change if you're taking 417 to what I believe is the end, where you will encounter an exact change toll booth.

Would it be easier to purchase a Sun Pass? From what I understand, you can use them in rental cars. We vacation a lot in Florida, so I've been thinking about purchasing one.

Unfortunately, I can't answer your question. I do rent a lot of cars here in Florida because I don't own one of my own any longer. But, I always plan my routes to avoid tolls. Although, avoiding tolls out of the Orlando International Airport requires pre-planning. (You can't simply follow the signs, as they all lead to toll roads.)

I'd recommend visiting the Transportation forum. I'm guessing you will find better answers over there.

I personally find that idea to be more complicated than having ones and quarters and stopping to pay the toll. But I don't travel there often. Once or twice a year. Keeping track of the toll pass would be more of a pain than the savings.

As long as cash lanes exist I'll pay cash.
