We are flying in August 24th to MCO, renting a car and driving to DTD then we will drive on the our hotel near the Port for or cruise on Saturday.

My question is can we still use cash at all of the tolls between MCO and WDW and between WDW and PC?

Should I call enterprise and see if we can rent (or whatever they call it) a Sunpass for the day?

We haven't been to WDW since 2009 and I want to make sure we have what we need when we leave the airport; and we have never cruised out of Port Canaveral before so any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

MCO and WDW are still payable by cash. We usually use 417, but have also used 528.

I *think* it's 528 that you take out to the port. And I believe that takes cash, too.

From what I understand, in FL it's the routes that go into and out of the Miami area that are the ones you need the pass for (and the turnpike, if that's something different?). But the routes you're taking, from what I understand from what I've read, you're find with cash.

Does anyone know how much the tolls are?

y sister will be flying in and renting a car, I just want her to be aware there are tolls.

Thanks bumbershoot...I know that last time we were there we could use cash and I just wanted to verify that we still could.

Enterprise has the toll by plate set up with the toll roads. Here is all you will ever need to know about Sunpass and rental cars. https://www.sunpass.com/index Click on rental car toll programs.

Thank you very much for this information...This helps a lot.:)

You are very welcome and I am glad I could help. If you have any questions on the pass program through Enterprise, National or Alamo, please ask. I have explained it about a million times to customers. :)

Good to know you can pay cash for the tolls! About how much for tolls to and from MCO to Disney area? Thanks! Also, do you need exact change or are there attendants at the booths?

notes:

prices as of 7/25 for CASH ... electronic is approx. 18% less

all these plazas are manned and take cash - keep right

if exiting airport to Port, the first toll you encounter is the Beachline MAIN @ $1.00, exit airport to the NORTH

to take 417 from airport to WDW, exit airport SOUTH

tolls at various on/off ramps are not shown

table of (most) tolls at https://www.oocea.com/Portals/0/docs/TollSchedule/Schedule of Tolls.pdf

From what I recall, there is one last toll booth on 417 if you take it past the second 1.50 booth, and that one is UNmanned. (you do not have to take that last toll...I'm not even sure why we did, but it just felt like we were getting closer to WDW doing it that way)

We bring dollars and quarters so we're prepared. The navigator tells the driver where to go and gets the change ready. Driver does what navigator says, pays the toll, asks for receipt from the manned booths, and goes back to driving while navigator puts receipt into the change zippered pocket/wallet thingie. :)

That's an exit from 417 b4 the end

there's TOO MANY ways in and out of the Disney property to cover all the options w/out the map getting TOO busy . . .

To clarify, I mean that we should have, and have since then, gotten off before that very last one. So that it would have just been two tolls that we paid instead of 3.

Do I remember the exit numbers? Nope. :)

That is exit #6.
