I'm having a hard time understanding the hostility over this.

I've booked a trip for 10 days next Thanksgiving. We are celebrating my daughter's birthday while there. I am booking BBB for me (34), dd8, and ds(10). She is so excited that we will all be fixed up. We are spending the afternoon at World Showcase, and eating at Akershus. I personally think we will have a great time!:goodvibes

Your 10 year old son may change his mind when he gets there next year and is able to see all the "girls" going in. I know, I know, it's for boys too. Just don't be dissapointed if he's not into it.

He knows it is all for fun-just like everything else at Disney!

He got his haircut at the MK Barbershop last July. He turned 9 during that trip. He got pixie dusted-lasted for days. He loved all of the attention.

The Cool Dude makeover is only $10, and very cute. I think at 10 and 8 (their ages as of the next trip) they will enjoy it.

It's vacation!:goodvibes

I see that with the "cool dude" they use hair gel. Does it dry quickly or does it get all over the place?? Inquiring minds want to know :)

My dd (4) went to the BBB in October when we were there. I could care less if adults are in there or not. If an adult wants to get a crazy hair do so what. It is the same as someone mentioned before about wearing those stupid looking hats. To each their own!

My only complaint is they really need to cut back on reservations they take, or make a bigger space. We arrived for our appt at 2:30 out appt was for 2;45 we didnt get called until 4:15. It was the night of MNSSHP, so we were then rushed to get back to the Magic Kingdom.

Here is a picture of my daughter dressed as Belle.

There as a boy there when my daughter got her makeover. The gel was dripping all over the place. Whoever did his made a mickey shaped head on the back of his head and it was just running.

Thanks, I was thinking I'd just skip it for DS and have him and DH go to the lego store or something. :)

P.S. Your daughter is gorgeous!! Certainly a princessprincess: and a happy one at that.

Wow, something must have gotten them behind. We went during busy season in June and got into our appointment early. I guess you just never know.

Wow... Some ppl really need a chill pill.. All this fuss over a hair salon?? popcorn::

All the bickering in this thread has accomplished is making me want to take my teenage neices, sister, and dm to have it done.. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ohh and I am gonna buy myself some of those cool new tie-die Mickey ears depriving some girl of the same pair of mouse ears...shame shame shame.. ;)

I didn't read the whole thread. I reached page 3 and wondered how people felt about this extending to other areas.

If an adult or teen makes it Tink's store first, should they get to wake her up? Should this experience be open to only kids? Should it be first come first serve no matter what age?:confused3

I had no idea adults were doing the BBB thing. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If I had a daughter, I might consider it myself.

I just had my hair done there for my 37th birthday in Sept. They even did my grandma's hair who is 78. I had a reservation it wasn't a issue. They told me that they would take care of princesses from ages 3-99.

I personally cannot imagine any sane adult wanting to get this done. I think the hair pieces and makeup are super tacky. Plus, I do think this is one of Disney's offerings that is really, well, more suited to the kiddies.

But to each her own.

Then just call me a loon!

I really dont understand your tone. I would have expected more from a 1st grade teacher. I would think that would give you plenty of opportunity to act like a kid the rest of the year and leave a seat for one of the wee ones in your charge.

I guess your mom did not teach you~ "If you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all"!

I am also in the buffalo area and I HATE SKIING TOO!!!!!! I just wanted to pipe in with that. :)

Kelly-We can go to the lodge for hot cocoa and Baileys!!! :thumbsup2

IN the meantime, I will be in WDW in Feb, with my tacky makeup and hair, wearing my tacky Snow White gown......

but with one Incredibly happy little 3 yr old who is having a great time with her Mommy!

I am not sure how this turned into an argument.

Some people think it is weird for adults to go to BBB. Okay.

I think it is weird to pay $200 to get naked and have a stranger rub you. I couldn't do it. Of course, I have OCD, so that may have a hand in it, too. I am not big on strangers touching me.

It is just an opinion. And as someone once said...Opinions are like rear ends (edited for the family board), everybody has one!!! :rotfl:

If a few DISers think I am weird that is okay with me. After all, my family agrees with them. ;)

Wow talk about out of hand! This thread is like a train wreck...I've been lurking all day. I have court papers to get out, but everytime I get onlinme to do some legal research done I come back and read this thread!:rotfl: I can just hear me talking to the Judge...

PD:"Your Honor, I need an extension to get my papers to the court"

Judge: "Miss Pixie Dust 112, are you ok, have you been ill, has there been a death in the family."

PD: " No your honor, I've spent the last 2 days reading up on the adult at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique controversy, so haven't had time to do my brief":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Did it with my 3 yr old for her bday and had a blast!!!! So that comparison is out the window! Gonna do BBB with my girls in Dec. We are getting the Cindy hairdo, which I don't find tacky. Nor is the tiara. I would pay atleast $25 at the salon for them to do an updo like that on my girls or me and the tiara is $10 alone so worth the money to go to the kiddie salon and have them make me over for adorable pics with my dd's that I will cherish for ever.

Let's not forget the fine quality of make-up they use. What wouldja guess? 29 cents for the kit? That's gotta be good for your skin, right?
