Our trip to Japan has been postponed another year in favor of visiting wdw for my 21st birthday! :cloud9:

I could look at Tokyo Disney pictures all day every day though, so if there are any lurkers (or more pictures in albums of those who have already posted) post some more pictures to help me get through this oh so difficult time while I wait for a trip of my own.:woohoo:

Unfortunately I've never been to Tokyo Disney so I have no pictures..but the other day I found this site called Deep Disney. It's in Japanese so it's kinda weird to navigate but it seems like they go to Tokyo Disney like almost every day and take pictures!

Thank you to every one who shared on this thread it was amazing to see all of these pictures!

I just found this and looked at all the pictures. I'm a big fan of not only Tokyo Disney, but Japan in general and cannot wait until I have the opportunity to travel there. I was wondering about the food in the parks, what kind of food do they have?

There is no shortage of variety concerning food in Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea...it's a Disney Park after all. You could visit the "Blue Bayou Restaurant","...for Cajun-style cuisine, seafood and meat dishes, salads and desserts". The "Crystal Palace Restaurant" has an "all you can eat buffet".

You can find "Churros", "baked goods", "Ice cream", "Fruit Juices", Sandwhiches, soups, Noodles etc etc. They have a Pizza Port, and a Great American Waffle co., Italian food, New York Deli, etc etc. So finding food is no problem.
You could even find Japanese food! There are some thinks that just seem strange... like some of the flavours of Popcorn, or green tea Ice Cream.

The hatch on the Nautilus ride vehicle...all aboard!

The ride mobiles are so cool here. What does this ride do? What does the Journey to the Center of the Earth do? Are there any rides that are like it that we would know of?

Another question, are there any translations for the rides? I know a little Japanese, but I can't say I understand or speak it fluently, ever! hehe

The Nautilus ride is called "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". The car holds about 6 people and the ride is similiar to the Submarine (Nemo) ride in Disneyland. There are some cool effects which took me a few ride throughs to figure out how they were done.

In "Journey to the Center of the Earth" you board a mining car through mysterious caverns, at a fairly slow pace, you view the wonders and Monsters that live there. Then the ride changes pace and you Zooooommmm up out of the earth, see daylight for a second or 2 as you plunge back into darkness at a very very fast pace. The bumpy slow start and the high speed at the end seemed to me to be like "Test Track" in Epcot.

Some rides are in both Japanese and English, some shows are just in Japanese and some shows are just in English. Guide maps are available in English and most Cast Members do seem to be able to speak basic English, much better than my attempt at Japanese, and as always the Cast Members are always very helpful.

Wow - great photos everyone! :thumbsup2

DH really wants to visit Japan in the next couple of years, and knows we can't go all that way without visiting TDL. The parks look absolutely stunning - now I can't wait to go either. :lovestruc

Here is a picture taken from the Mark Twain Riverboat on the Rivers of America...Tokyo Disneyland.

I find the Tokyo Disneyland strangly familiar yet different in the same way that Paris Disneyland or The Magic Kingdon is different from Disneyland in California.
But for something COMPLETELY different and super Amazing be sure and visit Tokyo DisneySea. Here is a picture from DisneySea that you won't find anywhere else in the world.
