Hi,
My DD (23) and I are off to WDW in sept. She adores sushi and I was wondering if anyone had been to Tokyo Dining, would I need ADRs and is there anything that a non-sushi lover could get?
Thanks in advance
We ate there just last week and enjoyed it very much. My son loves Sushi so he was in heaven. My dh, daughter and I all got the tempura shrimp. They also had some steak, chicken and other grilled meat entrees. There were lots of things for the non sushi lover! We really enjoyed our meal there, we had wonderful service and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. If you luck out and get a table by the window they have a wonderful view of Illuminations (they do pipe the music into the restaurant). However, you'd need to be right by the window to really get a decent view. We were one row back and couldn't see as well as I would have liked so we finished our meal and caught the last half of the show right outside the door which was a very good view.
I would get an ADR, I was able to get one a few days before no problem but if you are going during Free Dining in particular, get an ADR for any table service you want. All the restaurants are so busy now.
Hi! We just ate at Tokyo Dining last Thursday. I love sushi so I had a california roll plate with maybe eight pieces for 7.50 and a spicy tuna philadelphia roll same size for 7.50. I was stuffed. My DH got tempura shrimp w/ tempura veggies (mushroom, sweet potato, asparagus, tomato) with rice and seaweed(suprisingly yummy yummy). The rice was refillable for free. He doesn't like sushi but loved the fried shrimp and fried veggies. Plus if that doesn't fill you up just get an extra bowl of rice. It's free. Total with tip our meal was a little under 50 dollars for dinner. The cm's are just amazing at Tokyo Dining. Also, if you get ADR at around 8:45 pm sit by the window if possible. You will have the best view of illuminations. We stumbled into that bit of knowledge and were very happy we did. Also may I suggest Marrakesh. We ate there for lunch and it was just great!! The cm's were wonderful and there is even a belly dancer. DS who is 14 months loved dancing to the music. HTH!!!
I'll also agree with the above poster, (forgot to mention this) I found Tokyo Dining to be a very reasonable place. My meal was like $20 and it was huge. That tempura thing could be shared between two people in particular if one of them got an appetizer. We were on the DDP so we didn't share but next time we will. None of us could finish our meals.
I will add this restaurant doesn't accept the Disney Dining Experience Card. So if you have one, be aware.
Thanks to everyone-I will definately call for ADR and hope for a window seat, although I will not count on it. I love to try new places at Epcot, and will try Morocco as weel. I knew I could count on the Dis Boards for help!
