Hi! I just made a priority seating for the new Tokyo Dining restaurant in Epcot? Has anyone tried it? How did you like the food? How is the atmosphere/decor? It looks pretty neat in pictures.

Also, do they take the Disney Dining Experience card or not?

tia!

I believe they do take the card. IF you search- there are two or three really positive reviews- have not seen anything bad. I've been looking too as we are heading there in JAn

We have eaten there twice now. Both really good. And no, both times they did not take the DDE, only a DVC discount at lunch.

HTH!

That really surprises and disappoints me to hear they don't accept DDE. I thought all the Disney sit down restaurants took it. Bummer.

Most table service restaurants at WDW accept DDE.

Some of those that are not owned by Disney do not.

Besides Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining, Tutto Italia at Epcot and Yak & Yeti at AK don't accept it. The only DTD restaurants that accept it are Planet Hollywood, Cap'n Jack's and Raglan Road. None of the Swan and Dolphin restaurants accept DDE. Big River Grill at Boardwalk doesn't take it either.

We had dinner at tokyo dining in November.

The sushi and tempura we had was excellent - especially the sushi.

and the service was also excellent.

we would most definitely eat there again!! :thumbsup2

the only downside was having to wait 30 minutes for a table......but that's pretty standard at many of the restaurants....
they give you one of those things that lights up when it's your turn - we sat outside and enjoyed the drummers while we waited...
