Toddling around Walt Disney World: Dec 10-18, 2011 (We leave today!!!!!)

DH and I are going to try Bistro on Tues night, when we get back I'll give you the full report.

How was Bistro de Paris?

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations!!!

Having just read and replied to your last post in my PTR, let me just say that I hope this prenancy is much easier for you.:thumbsup2

Congratulations!! That's so exciting! :goodvibes

Thank you everyone for your congratulations. I'm almost 15 weeks already. It was no where near as bad as last time! I don't know if that's because I had a little baby trying to slam my head in the toilet if I stopped to get sick, but I definitely wasn't able to nap and relax as much as last time :)

We bought our Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party passes, added the Magical Express to our reservation, and finalized our dining reservations to more pregnancy friendly ones (i.e. no Ohana and Chef Mickey's-- the reservations were late and a cranky toddler and cranky pregnant lady are not the way to go; but we did replace it with the Wave and Whispering Canyon Cafe).

I am thinking of trading Bistro De Paris with Fultons Crab House. With my nausea and food aversions, I am thinking that elegant French dining may not be the way to go.

I am bummed that I will have to pass on Grey GOose Slush though!!! Any recommendations for non-alcoholic delicious drinks that I shouldn't miss?

One of the things I always found most frustrating about being pregnant was my complete inability to predict what I would or wouldn't want to eat.
Do you think the smell at Fulton's would be problematic? I always found seafood places difficult because of the way they smell.

Too bad about the Grey Goose Slush. I know a lot of people like those. Have you tried the American Dream?

PirateKate:

Good call. I've made my husband seafood the past few nights, I just can't eat it. I'm 15 weeks now, so a lot of my nausea and aversions are vanishing. I'm afraid of the same at Bistro De Paris.

Any idea for Boardwalk area, DTD or Epcot romantic places for dinner?

You did it twice so close together... You're a crazy woman :)

That American Dream looks gorgeous!!!!

Whispering canyon is a great choice! I miss wilderness lodge already. We ate there during a toddler meltdown and between the food and a great server who actually helped distract ds so we could eat, I'd still say that meal was the best I've ever had at Disney World.

That makes me feel SO great about changing our reservation from Ohana to there. We love ohana and I am so bummed that we have to miss it, but a 9:05 reservation for a baby who goes to bed at 8:30pm is just stupid.

So you made it back safe & sound??? I hope your trip was AWESOME. Were the crowds terrible?

Were the crowds terrible?

There were days when it was crowded and days where the parks felt empty. Early morning was great even on the busiest days though.

Oh, and about WCC... I highly recommend the Skillet if you like BBQ. The ribs and chicken are delicious and it worked great for us, because after the first round, all DW wanted was more mashed potatoes and the only thing DS would eat was the corn and they were more than happy to bring us more of whatever we wanted. The cornbread that comes with it is amazing too. I had the bottomless milkshake with my meal and our server even brought DS his own milkshake so that he didn't have to drink from my mason jar.

Sounds wonderful. We will be there on Monday-- I can't wait.

Thank you for accompanying me on this ride of preparation for our Disney trip!!!! My son and I are doing a bit of last minute packing, picking up a prescription for me (I have had either a stomach bug/or my morning sickness has been worse), packing up the car, and getting ready to go. We will be driving to the airport to fly out and spending the night there.

We decided we wanted an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby, since my grandpa has terminal cancer, and we want to tell our family over the holidays. There's a place near the airport does it starting at 16 weeks, and I'm nearly 17 weeks. I'm so excited to give our little one a name

We fly out tomorrow to Orlando, and will be there for 8 days. I can't believe the time has finally arrived.

I will try to randomly check in-- does anyone know if there's an easy way to upload photos/post from my iphone? Thanks.

Good luck. We tried to find out the gender of our baby on Monday, but legs were crossed and a hand was in the way.

I uploaded pics from my phone on our trip using the photobucket app. I have a Droid but I'm sure iPhone probably has it too. I just posted in here using the Web browser on my phone. I'm actually posting that way right now as I sit in a meeting. Don't tell anybody though.

Have a great trip!

We hAd our ultrasound last night and

It's a. . .

Boy!

We fly out in 4 hours. I have visions of newborn Disney gear dancing in my head. Let's get this show on the road!
