Toddler Property Laws​

1. If I like it, it's mine.​

2. If it's in my house, it's mine.​

3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.​

4. If I had it a week ago, it's mine.​

5. If it is mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.​

6. If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.​

7. If it looks just like mine, it's mine.​

8. If I think it's mine, it's mine.​

9. If it is near me, it's mine.​

10. If it is broccoli, it's yours.​

DD2 has a t-shirt very similar to this! But if it said anything about broccoli, it would also say, "It's mine" because she LOVES it!

My DD2.5 also has a shirt like that. And she would say "mine" to the broccoli too.

That is soo true...well except for the broccoli...strangely the broccoli is all his too.

DS2 has this t-shirt also, and it is soooo him! DH was getting frustrated with DS2 last weekend and said, "Thank goodness he'll be three soon!"

OK, first of all, he won't be three for another 5 months. Secondly, this behavior isn't going to magically disappear on his birthday. With some kids it gets worse, and I suspect DS2 may be one of those kids!

Don't have kids, but work with 1 & 2 year olds and these are all so very true.
