Today's Peeves (anyone else have some?)

I'm having one of those days, heck the week hasn't been so great

For some reason my right rear car tire is almost flat every morning when I leave for work. I stop and fill it with air and the next morning...almost flat again. Obviously a slow leak but I can't spot anything like a nail. Guess I should have it checked huh? Every blasted morning I'm filling the tire with air.

Twice this morning people ran stop signs and cut me off then couldn't find their gas peddal again.

I was trying to make a left turn from a stop sign into highway traffic and someone got impatient and went around me on the right to make their left..just as I finally had a break and hit the gas. Came thisclose to broad siding them. Good thing I have good peripheral(sp?) vision from marching band and saw them just in time to hit the brake. Grrr

My two bosses are fighting again and guess who is in the middle...again.

I did a favor for someone who now seems to be avoiding me like the plague. Can't figure out why.

My DH offered to take me out to dinner tonight to cheer me up. Sounded great but now one of the nurses called off sick so we'll be late at work because we will be running behind due to being short staffed. Thing is that I know she's not sick, she's hung over. Grr

I was at a 4 way stop a little while ago and started to go when a car to my right came barreling through the intersection. I stopped just in time... So, I guess a pet peeve is people who run stop signs.

My boss for bringing his sick child in to work for two days. She sat on my lap at my desk with me, while his stay at home wife did whatever, ....and now, you guessed it, plus I have no vacation days left to stay home and take care of my 5 yr old if he catches it from me.

I can't complain though, I really do have a great job.

People who need to be first. I'm not a slow driver....I keep up with the flow of traffic and I'm not afraid to go 80 if the weather is clear. Why do people need to do 90, practically touch my bumper, dart out into the other lane and then dart in front of me? They're not going any faster.

People who change lanes in bumper to bumper traffic. It's not helping anything and probably contributing to the problems.

A bit of advice about the tire, GET IT FIXED. I had that same thing happen and was driving down the road when it shredded. Luckily I was able to pull over to the side of the road. That tire looked like someone had taken a sharp knife to it. Take it from me, I am an expert on this, I have been through so many tires because I let them get balder than a bald man.

I had one of those days on Sunday, I nearly got hit while I was driving I don't know how many times. I was at IKEA trying to load a box with day bed parts onto a cart (for those of you who don't know this, almost all of their furniture comes in pieces) and this idiot comes around the corner with a loveseat on a cart and forced me to move out of his way. Then I proceded to drop another box I had and caught it wrong and ripped my fingernail half off near the quick. I was standing in line and the man behind me let this woman in ahead of him as he was waiting for his wife. She stands in the line next to me, not behind me and kept inching forward like she was trying to pass me. I nearly ran over my friend with the cart who was with me trying to keep this woman from getting in front of me.

Sorry got off on my own little rant there.

Pet peeves- Drivers who will fly up behind you, tailgate and you are on a 3 lane highway where there are no cars in the other lanes, plenty of room to go around. I always slow way down then wait till they go to go around me then speed up so they can't pass me.

Or those drivers that do the same thing when you are in heavy traffic, going above the speed limit and can't go anywhere and they are behind you gesturing to you to get out of their way. Uh hello, where am I supposed to go buddy.

Brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee--airbag light coming on. How the heck am I supposed to find time to take it in for service--AT THE DEALERSHIP?!

New 3-way stop almost right in front of our house (very large neighborhood) and people are just blowing right through it. Hey people.....it was put there for a reason!!!!!!! Even saw a schoolbus go right through the other morning.

Put some dishwashing detergent and water in a spray bottle and squirt your tire all over...if there is a leak, you will see little bubbles form. Sounds stupid, but that's how my dad checks for tire leaks.

And don't forget to check the valve stem. The insides can work loose and can leak as well.

I spent a good part of the day at an employment agency. Why do they always schedule a certain time for you and then make you sit there and wait and wait? I took some silly tests and 3 1/2 hours later I'm done and still don't know anything.

Anyway, that's my peeve for today.
