DS Mark, 7, was hit by the GI bug yesterday. I will spare you the details, but it was VERY MESSY . . . (picture the vomit smilie here)

Anyway, here is today's version. Have a great weekend, everyone!

On October 4, 1957, the Space Age began as the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, the first man-made satellite, into orbit.

On October 4, 1965, Pope Paul VI became the first reigning pontiff to visit the Western Hemisphere as he addressed the U.N. General Assembly.

On October 4, 1997, hundreds of thousands of men attended a Promise Keepers rally on the Mall in Washington, D.C., in one of the largest religious gatherings in U.S. history.

On October 4, 2001 Authorities confirmed that Bob Stevens, photo editor at the supermarket tabloid The Sun in Boca Raton, Fla., had contracted the inhaled form of anthrax; he died the following day.

An interesting mix for today.

Thanks, Deb.

P.S. Did you grt my PM ok? They seem to be having some problems over there.

I hope your ds is feeling much better today, Deb, we missed you yesterday :)
