Ok so I'm new to this board line of. Well today I learned the meaning of bitterest. My two year old daughter was diagnosed with autos. I am happy because I can get the help she needs and insurance has to help bit I'm sad because of the uncertain future. It's just hard and frustrated but I came here because I know of no one would understand u guys would. Thanks for listeninging and please send those tips my way. For one I really want. Info on Aba vs. Rdi and the diet.

Sorry I don't have any advice but wanted to give a :grouphug: Sometimes having a diagnosis helps because it puts a name on what you already knew was there.

I know people on here will have lots of info for you!

Did you mean to write autism not autos? Sorry, I just don't know of anything called autos and would also deal with ABA or RDI. :confused3

My DD is going to be evaluated for Autism, so I've not started the therapy path yet.

I'm sorry. Yes autism. Im typing on my phone and spellcheck does its own thing. By the way my insurance doesn't cover aba. But I called human resources and our clinic has to send over some papers and they may do it. please pray for me. This is a battle I will fight.

Sending up prayers for your family. We have worked with nurtionist with Foster son, for us diet helps.Just like anything else our kids are all different and what works in our home may or may not work in yours.

a gluten/casein-free diet seems to help some kids, not all. just google autism diet and you will find a ton of sites about it. :thumbsup2

We did. We got the gac and stroller as a wheelchair and it was a lifesaver.she had two meltdown but I.know it was because she was sleepy and hungry. I also try to remember she is only two and this is normal. I am trying to treat her as normal as possible le but not be to lenient and force her too much either.
On another note we are getting some new words and some are coming more co.listen and she is singing row your boat at least we know that is what she is trying to sing. she sounds like someone who is singing a song and doesn't know the words.
Next up: Aba ,Rdi or something else? That is the question

I would say to google search for local support groups. Here in Nashville we have a great program called The Brown Center I found for one of my clients. The mom found a few support groups by herself. it was very helpful b/c she was able to understand many of the things her 4 yo does are typical of children with autism. It will offer you a great deal of support as well as advice on doctors in your area who seem to do better with autistic children. Many prayers your way!
