Today February 26th in History...Congress established The Grand Canyon

1919 - The Grand Canyon was established as a National Park with an act of the U.S. Congress.

1970 - The Beatles album "Beatles Again" was released in the U.S. It contained the song "Hey Jude."

1991 - Iraqi President Saddam Hussein announced on Baghdad Radio that Iraqi troops were being withdrawn from Kuwait.

1998 - A Texas jury rejected an $11 million lawsuit by Texas cattlemen who blamed Oprah Winfrey for price drop after on-air comment about mad-cow disease.

I love the Grand Canyon...I have seen it from the air, someday I will see it from the ground...it is just gorgeous.

No comment on Saddam...better I stay quiet.
