To those who have trips planned - when are you buying park tickets?

I asked in another thread but it got buried. Just wondering when everyone is buying their park tickets? I have read warnings that parks are filling up fast and to buy tickets asap. We are still 8 months out, but I worry about it. Buying park tickets is one of the harder purchases to make. With our hotel reservation and flights, both can be cancelled for a full refund or close to it. But Disney park passes aren't refundable and even though they can be used at a later date, it's an awful lot of money to fork out without knowing if we will be able to go or not and also without knowing if a CDN res deal will be on the table again.

I don't know. What is everyone else doing?

I haven't bought my tickets for my December '21 or March '22 trips as yet. I have the tickets for my August '21 trip as I purchased them pre pandemic hoping for an August 2020 trip. I am hoping that APs come back and that I may be able to upgrade my current ticket to an AP. Fingers crossed! Other wise I will be probably be purchasing tickets by late summer for December and March.

For November, I’m using a comped ticket I have in My Disney Experience. It’s just one day. Ut that’s enough.

For February, I’ll wait to see if November goes well and buy after that. I really don’t like having to buy tickets so far in advance in order to make reservations. It’s a shady move on Disney’s part.

Some people are putting a deposit down on a package or two hundred dollars to secure tickets that way. They plan to cancel the package once they secure real tickets. This is something I’d consider.

I'll be buying a package that includes tickets for next April, so it's refundable should something happen to change my plans.

I haven't bought mine for my December trip yet, I was waiting to see if AP's come back in the near future first as I plan on going next Spring as well.

I have a trip planned for September and January. Don't have tickets for either yet. The September one I'm not confident will happen (flights are super expensive, and I'm not sure what the travel restrictions will be), and I'm secretly hoping they'll have a Canadian discount for the January one, so holding out on buying them for now.

For our maybe Aug 2021 trip we have the Canadian tickets that were extended from 2020. 🤞. I’m not totally optimistic about border opening without restrictions so I haven’t bought air tickets yet. Aug is only time my Adult daughlter can go so to rebook my flight money would be tied up for a year in the airline travel wallet. R
For Oct trip I’m a Universal AP holder. I have to renew this month. But I think by Oct our border willbe open. I’m optimistic enough that I bought air fare.

Bought already for October 2022. Want to be at MK on Halloween day. Used air miles.

I already have tickets purchased with air miles, but I plan on buying whatever they have going on for Christmas (party or after hours event). I know those would be non-refundable and likely going on sale in August. I just need to know the Feds have a plan for fully vaxxed people to not have to use their quarantine hotels.

I want to add tix to my room only package that I've already booked. Is there a way to add tix to my existing reservation or do I need to re-book a whole new reservation with tix included?

This shows the availability and you can get a good idea of how fast things are booking up. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/a...missionCalendar_Web_RR-Module-Avail-Consumer_

Looks like maybe two months out is still available.

I have not bought tickets for late August yet, but I'm watching the availability.

I'm waiting till the 8th for when Boo Bash goes on sale. Then I'll know how many days I'll need a ticket for.

You have to rebook. I believe you can call, but they will refund your one night deposit and then you have to pay the $200 for the package deposit. I'm not aware of any other way to do it. Well call or cancel and rebook online I guess.

I'm waiting and hoping for a Canadian ticket deal at some point. I expect capacity to continue to increase in the coming months but the ticket deal is probably wishful thinking.
