The first sign something was wrong was when we hit the boat in front of us in the barn area (three pirates signing with the dog and donkey). I said to myself that it is too early! The boat behind us was stopped a few boats behind, but they became backed up too.
I never realized the dog barked to the song before. Now I know!
They kept making announcement about resetting/powering down the ride. I kept waiting for the pirates to collapse and come back to life (it didn't happen). This happened at least 5 times. They continually announced that the ride would restart. It did not. People seemed it good spirits though. A boat in front of us was chanting for free ice cream.
We were on the ride for 70 minutes before a Castmember came by in waders and pulled our boat back and unloaded us. We saw other boats unloaded, but we were in a spot that was inaccessible. It was cool to walk through the back area and castmember area. After all that (35 min wait, 70 mins on ride), we were honored with one attraction readmit pass.
Neat that they use hooks to grab the boats. The castmembers wore rain boots as well. A few were actually in the water with the waiters (or is it waders) on. Not much of a fisherperson.
Weird being in there with the pirates moving their mouths, but nothing coming out.
I came down after work so I could get some merchandise (not out yet?) except the sold out pirate stein (booooooo!) and ride pirates.
Very interesting trip!
