The BEST news about this? It implements that once again, there will be a FREE dining offer next year!! :thumbsup2

Planning a trip back to the World next year? Make sure you book it before you leave Walt Disney World from your vacation THIS year!

Beginning November 8th and continuing on through until December 31, 2006, the Walt Disney World Resort will be conducting a pilot program based upon the long-standing success of onboard sales programs in the cruise industry. This pilot program will focus on inviting Guests to return for a future visit during the fall Value Season in 2007.

The offer will be extended to Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels between November 8th and December 31st, 2006. Guests will be offered a package which includes FREE dining for a return visit anytime between August 5th and September 29, 2007. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World-owned and operated Resort during the pilot program dates may take advantage of this offer for a future booking at any Walt Disney World-owned and operated Resort.

Questions and Answers about the program:

1. Do I have to book the special offer before checkout?
Yes. The vacation package must be booked and deposited prior to or on your checkout date (which must be prior to Jan. 1, 2007).

2. Is a deposit required to book the special offer?
Yes. The vacation package must be booked and deposited prior to or on your checkout date (which must be prior to Jan. 1, 2007).

3. I am not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Can I still book this special offer?
No. This special offer is only available to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during the pilot program’s scheduled dates.

Will you be able to change dates once it's booked and still keep the free dining -- presuming of course that the dates are still within the time frame for the offer?

Yeah but do you think that will only be for those vacationers and the UK visitors, or do you think that it will be opened up to the rest of us as well.

:confused3 :rolleyes1

I don't see why not.

My educated guess is that this imply's that Disney will eventually be offering free dining to the rest of the world as well. :thumbsup2

I wonder if the 5 day minimum stay and 5 day ticket requirement applies to this package (as it did for the UK)?

Disney claims:

The lead-in rate for this offer is $453 per adult (savings of $194) for five nights and five days.

That rate is based on a value level resort for 5 nights and with a 5 day base ticket...so it's possible.

Yeah, that's what I thought might happen. I bought 5 one day tickets and paid rack rate in order to qualify for free dining this year. Hopefully I will eventually apply those tickets to a future purchase, but once again I don't need tickets for 07. When you have to buy 5 five day passes and lose the AP room discount, it probably wouldn't be our best move to opt for a free dining package next year. It's great news for the majority, though! Thanks for always keeping us so well informed madonna31!

But (there's always a but) that's just the stipulation for this pilot project.

If Disney releases the regular 'free dining' offer for next year - just like last year - you may again only have to purchase a one-day base ticket in order to get the free dining. :thumbsup2

That would be great - it sure was fun to eat like royalty. Either way, we can't go wrong if we're at Disney. I have always wished that they would reward return visitors with some kind of repeat customer benefit. That's the thing with Disney - you just never know what they'll come up with next. It's all part of the fun and this is a fantastic offer for folks vacationing during this time frame. We are so lucky to know about this board and have access to the info that folks like you provide. I love checking in here every day!!! :cool1:

How much is the deposit? Is the deposit refundable if you need to cancel

At this point I do not know my 2007 vacation dates; can your change your dates at a later date?

The deposit is $200, no different than any other MYW package.

I would imagine that you can change your dates later, as long as they are still within the August 5th - September 29th, 2007 dates of the promotion.

It is interesting that this deal starts Aug 5. Does the UK offer start Aug 5 as well? Does'nt the value season rate for rooms not start until Aug 13?
