To switch the last night or not?

Hi all. We are booked in AKV for our upcoming Halloween trip. We generally don't mind switching properties, I just don't know if this is worth it.

We are staying at AKV and going from a Thurs - Tues. We are going to MNSSHP on Monday night and plan to go to MK that whole day. I'd like to go back to the hotel and change the kids into their costumes and get freshened up before the party.

The kids could just wear their costumes all day or I could bring them with us but I was thinking it might be nice to stay at BLT that night so we could go back to make a quick change. Is that realistic? (I know there is a low chance that a waitlist would come through...but just in case)

What would you do? Stay at AKV or go to the waitlist for BLT?

This probably won't be the popular answer, but I would try to switch. Since you would only be there one night before going home you wouldn't have to do any major unpacking.

I would agree. I think this would be a great benefit for you and time saver. Of course the down side is having to check into a new resort.

I agree.

OP if you do this go over early that morning to check-in, hopefully villa would be available early that day but it could also be 4pm/somewhat later.

And I'd also try for a villa at Wilderness Lodge if BLT isn't available & then waitlist BLT. Boats going to/from VWL are quick ride and your kids may find that to be a fun adventure.

Best wishes, hope you'll post back how it goes :goodvibes

Not sure what your plans are for the whole trip, but I have been reading other boards and it sounds like you can get in around 4:00 pm for the MNSSHP. Are you sure you want to use a day pass for MK, and then go back in the evening. We are thinking if we get to the park at 4:00, we could get a few rides and other things in, and maybe not use the pass at MK that day??

Anyway - I dont like moving around (just my preference). You could bring the costumes with you, and rent a locker, then do the day at MK, and just change into the costumes when it is time. That way you dont have to go back to the resort at all.

Eporter has made a very good point here ::yes::; OP unless your family has annual passes I wouldn't use a park ticket day if you can get into MNSSHP at 4pm (and this is what I've heard to be the time too ) especially if you do switch resorts that day, jmho spend the early part of the day relaxing & enjoying the resort you move to before heading to the party.

Best wishes :goodvibes

Ditto. Totally agree.
