To stay on property first night or at Crowne Plaza - WWYD?

We arrive late 10ish pm and have reservations at Crowne Plaza near Universal for a cheap rate. We're staying at the Garden Wing CR and planning to uber or lyft from Crowne to CR and have them hold our luggage, then board a bus for the Studios. My sister (just the 2 of us on this trip) is insisting that I should cancel the reservation and book that first night at a value and have disney transport our luggage to CR, then, we would head straight to the the Studios the next morning. It looks like we're saving $67 this way, but we will have 2 ubers instead of one. Thanks for your thoughts!!!

You can save money or you can save time, but it's hard to do both. I'd to the Value resort in a heartbeat.

I would stay at a value or near the airport.

With all the flight delays and various airline issues recently, I would lean toward the airport. Stay somewhere with free breakfast and that will help pay for your Uber.

I wouldn't be doing my a one night over by Universal if I'm moving to Disney. Either find a place at Disney or Disney Springs if airport is out of budget.

I'm confused. Your flight lands at 10p. You'll be staying at the CR the next day. Why stay near Universal? Either stay by Disney or stay by the airport. MCO?.Make sure you book a hotel which offers a complimentary shuttle 24/7. Ride share to CR next day. Hyatt right in the airport works if you can book a rate which makes sense.

We had tried to stay at the airport but it was fully booked. But, you all talked me into it . . . I was able to cancel the cheaper hotel and booked Pop Century so that we can use the skyline over to the studios. We didn't plan to take a break and if so we will need to wait until our room is ready anyway . . . so I think it will all work out. Thanks for your thoughts!
