To stay at AOA or not? That is the question??

My family and I are excited about the new AOA resort and would love nothing more than to stay in a Cars Suite.......BUT, I don't know if I can swallow the cost to stay there, when I can actually stay at a moderate for a thousand dollars cheaper!! Or even worse, I can stay at AKL for just a couple hundred dollars more!!! How can this be??!! How can one justify paying more money for a value resort than a moderate or deluxe? I realize it is a suite, but still....it's not that much bigger. And, I know we can stay in a little mermaid room, but with a 10 year old boy, that just won't fly, LOL It just seems like a lot to charge an extra $270 a night to go from a value standard room to a value suite!

We usually go for 7 nights with park hoppers and the dining plan. I priced this for our Christmas trip in 2013 for a suite and the price is over $6,000.00!! What to do, what to do??? What would you do? My family is really excited to stay there!

We just got back this weekend from our stay. We had a cars suite and my 7 yr old adored it. DH & I adored how we could shut the door and sleep in peace everynight. It's hard for us to all stay in one room so the cost increase was worth it for us. Plus the place is just soo dang cool. We had considered AKL, but sharing one room with our kiddo is a nightmare imo. My vote is to go for it.

We can't justify the cost either.....so we get 2 rooms at another Value. That way we have 2 bathrooms and the kids can go in their room and shut the door

One day we will stay at the AKL...even if it's just for one night during a split stay or something. And hopefully AOA will decrease in price a bit one day and we can stay there too....but we'll probably still go with 2 separate/connecting rooms since the fold out furniture doesn't really appeal to us.
