to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

Long day today. Start with the final soccer game of the season for DS - they had not won a single game all season, but won today 4-0. Definitely a nice way to finish the season, though I wish they had won a couple other games. They played well, but it just wasn't their year. I guess the good news is that DS has gotten to be a much better sport about not winning.

Spent the afternoon trying to sell Cub Scout popcorn. Nice day, but by this point in the month, sales are slow - people who were going to buy have had the full month to do so, and the ones who weren't going to buy on Oct 1 aren't going to by on the 27th either.

DW is off running a nighttime 10k race - we both wanted to run it, but it's going to be almost down to freezing by the time the race is over (7:30 PM start, so she is about halfway done right now), and it would be after 10pm before we were back home - a bit cold and late for the kiddos to be out and about.

Unfortunately, I am now out of distractions again, and am feeling the need to compulsively check email every few minutes.

We were busy most of the day. Went to the pumpkin farm this morning and had lunch out there too. Then stop at my parents to do a few things (i'm their part-time caregiver). Now back home. DH and DS are watching college football and I'm obsessing... checking twitter, disboards, email, facebook... :crazy2:

Today we went fishing in Bay Lake and Seven Seas. We caught a ton of fish and had a great time. I wish I could post iPhone picks to the forum from the app to share.

We had lunch at WCC it was tasty and hilarious. My 3 year old blew the paper off a straw and the waitress then gave him a huge stack of them and said have at it! We also had the pleasure of needing ketchup :-) my son loved the pony rides too.

This morning DH took DD to the doctor to get her eyes checked out...and I was right, she has pink eye in both of her eyes. We spent the rest of the day getting groceries and stocking up with supplies to prepare for the storm. I was able to sneak in a short nap and I really hope with rest and hot tea with honey I'll feel better in a couple of days. It is SO frustrating not to be able to communicate especially when your 3 year old doesn't understand why his mommy is 'ignoring' him, when in reality I'm talking as loudly as I can!! LOL I think we all need some pixiedust: very soon. HOPING we don't have to wait too much longer for those emails, although I am SO scared that if I make R3 I won't be able to talk through it!!!! I've already downloaded a speech app that will say anything I type, but I'm sure sounding like the robot monorail guy is not going to help my case at all.

we LOVE to fish at WDW! being catch and release, there are so many fish and some get to be really big. Makes it fun reeling them in! Sounds like you're having lots of fun! Enjoy!

Hey everyone!

So, I decided to have "me" day today. Part of it was because my glasses broke on Thursday night, so I had to get in to the eye doctor. I only wear them at night, so I don't replace them very often. So, I ordered myself a cute new pair.

Then, I decided that I needed some new shoes for our trip next weekend. I'm not a big Sperry topsider fan, but I found some really cute purple plaid ones, so picked those up.

And now, I just got home from getting my hair cut and colored. Bye-bye grays!!

The sad thing is that I continued to check my email, Twitter, and the Disboards through the whole thing. :lmao:

Bye Bye gray, Sounds like a great day, minus the NON-pixie dust email we all want so desperately!:rolleyes1

I hope her eyes clear up in no time! I also you're up to par shortly, its good every once & a while to grab a nap!:flower3:

I've personally given up the guessing game, it will come, when it comes!:guilty::sad2::rolleyes: I just hope it comes SOOOOOOOOON!

Way to go DS and team! Sorry you didn't sell more popcorn. Hope DW had a good race, and that you've found some distractions.

Get some rest, feel better!

It was about this time last year when I left work around the same time and got on the train, just like tonight, and fell asleep only to wake up and find the"no thanks" email...

This year I am not falling asleep... And if the email comes, it will say something else!

We sold some, it just wasn't a gangbuster day. I think DSs share of the sales will be something in the neighborhood of $50, but he made his total sales goal, so he's happy.

DW had a great race - she says the course was danged hilly, but started with a headless horseman. And, next year, we're all going - if nothing else, she said that she will walk with the kids while I run it.

I've decided that no email so far is not so terrible- it means that all if our dreams are still alive!

I'm starting to feel like this too. But the longer it takes, the less sure I am about advancing to R3... too much time to think! LOL :coffee:

Had a fabulously fun day today! For starters, I finished sewing the last of my three boys' Halloween costumes ... a zombie, a headless man, and a gnome sitting on a mushroom. Whew! We did our local pet costume contest, and our guinea pig took first place! Whooo hooo, so much fun! And then we did trunk or treat at our local fairgrounds. It was a bit chilly outside, but still wonderful. It took my mind off of waiting. I never realized before how many e-mails have "I'm sorry" or "Congratulations" as their subject. I'm driving myself bonkers.

Hiya! Just found this thread searching for news on r3 finalists.....praying they hadn't been selected yet :)
So when do we think the news will get out? Assuming its not....I still have a few pages left to read!!!

Great distractions all day for me!!! Went to a pumpkin carving party then the adults had our own fun.

I danced my a$$ off. I haven't danced like that in a very long time ( if you don't count when I teach Jazzercise).

I supposed no news is good news.

Til tomorrow. Night all.

:scared: My family has gone where the fun is, & it ain't here. I'm going to get out of the house tomorrow, whether it kills me or not. Its now dark & I'm still in jammies from last night, YES--gross. I will get a hot bath & then return to my throne (bed) & await my King & our royal prince & princess. They better have sushi upon returning to the Kingdom, because this Queen, is getting her appetite back! WOOT!princess:

Oh my god! Do you have a camera into my house because that is my normal Saturday!??!

Ok so again I am up early and now I am nervous- I know the emails have not gone out but the longer it takes I sit here and stress and tell myself not to worry but it is hard. I have the list of potential questions and started to look at them and then I put them down because I don't want the disappointment to come - ugh!! Thanks for listening- it is getting harder each and every day- they won't send them today on a Sunday will they?

A gnome sitting on a mushroom? That's awesome! My DD is Tinkerbell sitting on a mushroom this year! They'd make a nice pair!!!
:)
I saw my phone lit up with Dis board notices this morning and was scared to log on to my email thinking we could have THE email waiting. Guess not. I'm off to early mass, then teaching Sunday school, then home to um.... okay, let's be honest... then home to check my email all day! :)
Happy Sunday my waiting room friends!

Happy Sunday my waiting room friends!

Doing the same thing this Sunday morning. After church, we're taking our kids' group to a nursing home to sing Halloween songs. Then I'll be back at church (my job) to lead youth group with the teenagers tonight. So a busy day to keep my mind off our waiting! I'm sure I'll be able to sneak a few peeks at my phone though!

While I'm in the mountains of NC and won't deal with storm flooding issues, they are now calling for us to have a major winter storm! We're going to get lots of snow the next 48 hours, so the concerns about power outages are shared here too!

I told DH this morning that while I was working this afternoon he should go get one of the hand cranking phone chargers in case our power goes out. His response: This has nothing to do with your need to check email does it? :rotfl: Who me? :littleangel: He knows me too well!
