Social media is everywhere. It permeates everything. Since this past spring I have given up Facebook. My life is far better without it. My question is this: Should vacation also mean time away from social media? Should we just put our phones away (except to take photos of course) and just enjoy the time away with our family/ friends while at Disney?

We do. All social media is gone during vacation.

Impossible to do with anyone under 30, difficult to do with most 30 to 50. Most people NEED to stay in constant touch and tell everyone about each moment of their vacation. We prefer to enjoy the time away. To each their own. Good luck!

When we go we stay away from social media until we are back in the room for the night. What my family loves to do is play a what is it / where is it with those who aren't on the the trip with us. take a picture of some detail that wont give away the whole thing and then the other guess.
