To photobomb, or not to photobomb. That is the question!

To photobomb, or not to photobomb?

  • Age 18-29: Sure Photobombing can be fun!

  • Age 18-29: No way! That's so rude!

  • Age 30-45: Fun times! I don't have a problem with it.

  • Age 30-45: Grow up!

  • Age 45-65: Hey if its in good taste why not?

  • Age 45-65: Don't mess with my memories!

  • Over 65: Life is too short! Bombs away!

  • Over 65: How cruel!

:confused3 This, I just don't understand. You'd risk going to jail over a photo? :lmao: Sorry but that's where you would be headed if you assaulted anyone I knew or myself. (not that I photobomb but...) I personally don't photobomb. If other people are upset over others doing it, I can understand that. I don't share the view. I do understand it could be frustrating but it's not the "end of the world" that some posters are mentioning. It's certain not worth assaulting someone over (like in this above post)

It would be accidental see ;-) so I wouldn't be going anywhere or as another poster said, it would be self defense. If you got that close to me I would probably think you were trying to assault me and my city girl defenses would kick in. It's all about self defense.

Seriously though it would more than likely be a verbal argument and knowing me I would prob take the high road as I really wouldn't want my son hearing/seeing anything like that. Problem is, sometime people react to the situation and aren't as rational as we think we are. I just don't see why MY FUN isn't as important as some jokers fun.

The scenario i cant stop thinking about is a family on a vacation getting there pics taken all over Disney, as everybody does. Husband, wife and two little girls. Two years later marks the one year anniversary that cancer took the life of one of the little girls. The father mother and sister are going through the pics taken on that vacation for the first time cause the little girl got ill right after that trip. In the stack are a couple of family pics that were bombed. They did not find it funny.

So it's not that your reckless...its that your maliciously calculated?

I would never photo bomb anybody.
However i just dont understand how it would be self defense. A lot of times while at disney you find yourself in crowded areas. When people are near you, you feel like they are trying to assault you? Walking down main street at close, people walking in all different directions, some towards you, some behind you, some in front of you. When you are walking down Main street do you think people are trying to assault you because they are near you?
I could picture it now, a physical altercation occurs because of someone jumping in a picture smiling away with a big cheesy face. The reasoning is given to the authorities, The photo bomber tells their side. The camera is looked at to check the pictures and they see a big silly smile. That would really back up the "they were trying to assault me" theory :rolleyes2 !
people invade others space all the time, this does not give us the right to physically assault them.
In lines waiting for an attraction there is always that person behind you that is a little to close, trying to push the line along. Do you feel they are trying to assault you or pick pocket you?

So what you're saying is, that if you can spot someone from the DISBoards, than it's better to photobomb them, because it would be less-likely to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip?

A wild guess. It would be an interesting number to look at. :) but I'm a stats girl

I was thinking of a friends trip that is coming up. They've been waiting 5 years for their little guys maw trip. (He isn't terminal, just been a sick sick little guy) the average joe photo bomber (not a middle finger jerk kind) who thinks everyone wants to see his mug probably isn't considering that there are really families that are on their once in a lifetime trip. He thinks that everyone is up for he same fun he sees himself having when others really want to remember and have evidence of every moment they can trying to suck in every memory

I'm sorry but you have no right to complain about a photobomber when you are willing to physically assault someone over being in a photo you took. You might not be going anywhere with the police but if you (or anyone) touched one of mine, you or they would be leaving on a stretcher - and THAT would be self defence. ;)
