My husband and I don't have any problems with the double beds in the values, but there is no way I'd stay in a hotel room with my husband and parents. Not happening.
Being concerned about bed size is a first world problem.
Being concerned about bed size is a first world problem.
Some people like more space when they sleep, others are happy to be close.
ETA why would someone bring up that there are bigger problems in this world I can pray for my cousins in Texas as well as my self and say what is with Disney thinking that two adults can fit in a double bed all at once I am a great multitasker
This is NOT life or death or a world problem. Yes there are bigger issues. Over and over people tell you that. You've worried about 2 beds, ice buckets, people knocking on windows at resort and calling for help, tour books not giving correct information, sitting in the exit row on plane when you know you shouldn't. You are never going to enjoy your trip if you worry this much about tiny things.
How is it false advertising if there are double beds? They state two beds and the size is listed right there-
Nobody is trying to be mean but you really need to relax and focus on something else- not on something so minor. Lots of couples sleep in double beds- why is that an issue.
DH and I have even shared a twin so I guess we are in that second group.
No we moved to music:-( I well aware of what Disney advertises that's what scares me are they misleading people until I started this thread I could not imagine sharing a double with him yes I am very well aware there are bigger problems

Nothing wrong with Disney advertising a room with 2 double beds sleeping 4 adults. Two adults absolutely can fit in a double bed. Many other hotels have double beds as well. Also many married couples sleep in double beds. I think if a couple is used to sleeping in a king bed at home then there might be a big adjustment but going from a queen to a double isn't bad. Like I said earlier a double is only 7 inches smaller than a queen. I can't see that small of a difference making a huge impact on many guests. From what I've seen op you are travelling with a group of 4 adults in 2 rooms so what is the issue anyway?? 2 adults per room and 2 beds per room. If you don't want to sleep in a double bed with your DH then each can sleep in your own bed and any problem is solved.
Not to downplay what you are trying to express... however when you said people knocking on your hotel windows asking for help scared me to pieces. We just stayed at a less than stellar motel, when I moved my DD to college, and at 2 am the manger was banging on our room yelling at us to be quiet (myself, ds, and ds friend had been sound asleep since 11. That scared me to death and I may never sleep in a motel with windows again. This is NOT life or death or a world problem. Yes there are bigger issues. Over and over people tell you that. I can see why people are wondering why I would care one I was more curious if it could be done period
Two I can't see dh and I fitting in one bed and that will be a huge adjustment for me
Yes first world problem and yes I am selfish to wonder and care so much I wish I was not working on being more selfless
I'm not sure why you would think that it couldn't be done.If you and DH are not used to sharing a bed then still no real issue considering you are 2 adults in a room with 2 beds. Each can sleep in a bed alone and there is no issue.
