To Kiss or Not to Kiss, In the Disney Parks ?

you can bet I am going to kiss my soon to be wife! I am a Disney Bride and I am honeymooning there, so I will definitely be kissing her! Not making out, but definitely polite kisses

Congratulations ! I would like to marry my partner Jay and honeymoon at WDW too, it is a wonderful dream of ours.

I walk around with a very big chip on my shoulder about the acceptance of gay people at WDW. As a CM, I see people on a daily basis holding hands and giving small kisses. Sometimes it's a little overboard, but I never say anything to them and the same holds true for gay couples. As I've said many many times before, if people give weird looks or whatever, it's their problem, not yours. I guarantee you that if they go complain, they will get absolutely nowhere. The company backs us, the cast members back us, and a lot of guests actually do back us. If people don't like it, they can stay home or do their little boycotts of the #1 vacation destination worldwide. That just leaves more room on the rides for the rest of us!

Whatever you feel comfortable with, but I do agree with the others - hot & heavy stuff, straight or gay, should be reserved for a room (Not a Haunted Mansion Doombuggy!).

oh I agree with you. You can tell all those were posed. I was just saying I tend to just ignore people when I'm working. I don't like confrontation and unless another guest complains and I feel the actions are overboard, straight or gay, I would not say anything.

Those pictures are so great !

Thanks for the advice guys.

I just want equal access to gently kiss my guy without hearing anyone complain, "not in front of my kids or make it seem that it is inappropriate behavior for gay men to kiss at all in public".

If I am going to Disney for a romantic New Years Eve, I am kissing my guy at the strike of Midnite ! I promise the kiss will not be held any longer than any of the other couples that surround us. What would be really sad is if I didn't kiss my guy at all, on New Years Eve !

Trust me... people are way too into themselves during fireworks. We ALWAYS kiss at the end of Illuminations.

Don't forget though, that MK does New Years fireworks on the 30th and 31st. So we watch MK on the 30th, then hit one of the other parks on the 31st... well worth it as the 30th is slightly less smooshed together. And really cool to watch it in front of the castle when the clock stricks midnight.

insoin: unfortantly I don't work for the company anymore... canned last september. But if you've got a decent SLR, I wouldn't mind being your ahh... "personal photographer". And cause of Kari I still get into Disney any time I want to go. I did learn a lot about photography from working there for 2 years. I've also become really good at taking photos free handed at night, which most people can't do. I did some amazing photos at Epcot where the sidewalk lights up. I was there with 4 friends, 2 were ICP and it was thier last day in the states. So I had them all lay down on the ground around all the lights and do different things. It was totally cool.

Here's some of my amazing night time photos. I'm always the "official Photographer", because I hate being in pictures.

The two girls are from China, and they were ICP's, this was thier last day in the states, and we did NOT want to leave Epcot. We even did a whole round trip on the monorail so they could sit up front. These are just a few of the 100 pictures that were taken that night. This was taken with a point and shoot Nikon camera... nothing fancy, all hand held.
