To go orders?

Do any TS restaurants do this? I'm sure the answer is no, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Specifically, I was wondering about Yak & Yeti, because I don't know if we can squeeze in an ADR there, and I really just want to try the dessert wontons. Was wondering if I could walk up and ask to just order a dessert? Anyone ever do this?

We did it at t-Rex. My husband went up to the bar and got a kids meal to go because their GF menu was more appealing to my son. We took it with us to WPE and ate our meals there. T-Rex and Y&y are both Landry's restaurants, so I'd guess that they would do it. And really, it's always worth a try. It all depends on the mood of the staff. If the hostess asks and the manager says sure, they will do it even if they have a rule against it. (I worked at Rainforest Cafe for years and it really depends on the moods/how busy they are the exact moment you ask. pixiedust:) good luck!

In general, the answer is no. Disney restaurants are not staffed or equipped to handle the volume of To Go orders on top of the seated diners. As with everything there can be an occasional exception reported, but I would not count on it

Both replies make sense. Maybe I will call the restaurant the day of and ask, or maybe stop by there earlier in the day. Thanks!

Yak & Yeti has a bar which does not take reservations. You might be able to order them there.

Calling will not get you to the restaurant itself. All calls go to a central location, no matter how they answer it. They will not be able to accurately answer your question.

Y&Y is a Landry's restaurant so if you are a member of the Landry's Club one of the perks is priority seating. It costs $25 to join, but you get a welcome reward for the same amount that can be used at Y&Y, Rainforest or T-Rex in DW if you are going to either of those restaurants as well. The full $25 has to be used at one time so it wouldn't be practical for just one dessert.

The won ton dessert contains cream cheese and ice cream so it probably would not travel well even if they were to do it as a to go item.

I have found that most TS places will allow takeout orders at the bar, especially if it's just one or 2 items. I was able to order kids meals to go at citrico's from the bar without any issues ( pizza and Mac and cheese were delicious!)
