I have to turn to my fellow DISers for advice because noone I know understands that it's ok to go to Disney several times a year and that I'm not crazy for wanting to go on vacation by myself.

I should preface this by saying that I have been to WDW 3 times in 2006 for the half marathon(w/friend and her parents), 15k(w/my parents) and super soap weekend(w/my aunt). I was also at DL(solo, but met up with coworkers) about this time last year to enjoy the holiday decorations and I've done plenty of other travelling this year, Vegas, Lake Placid, NYC and more.

Right now, I'm getting depressed that I have no travel plans for next year. It's just not like me! The only things I have arranged are for a friend to come visit me here in mid February and maybe a long weekend in Phoenix in April. Honestly, I think I'm having single syndrome. Because I'm single, I don't have a built in travel companion....I might have run out of peope to drag on vacation with me!

So, what do we do when we feel like we need a vacation? We start shopping the World!

I started looking at Jan. 17-21 because it's a 3 day weekend for me and it's value season and it's soon! I would really like to stay somewhere nice, but I can't justify the cost when it's just me fo Value it is.

What I'm looking at right now is Pop Century, 1day park hopper and dining. I have 2 hopper days on a ticket from previous trips. I also have some Disney Visa Reward dollars to use and I've found a really good flight. At this moment, the grand total out of pocket cost would be $559.15. It would cost me about 2 days off from work, but get me 3 full park days and a half day for some lazy time, Downtown Disney and resort hopping which I never do!

A week ago, this would have been a no brainer. Now, I'm not so sure. These holiday sales really agree with me! I spent A LOT of money(pretty much the cost of the trip!) last weekend...mostly on me! I'm going to go through everything again tonight and see what I'm willing to return, but I know it's not much.

Part of me says I should save my money and time and really splurge on a trip in November, stay longer, stay where I want to stay, be there during the F&W festival, etc. Plus, I have a big birthday coming up in August....I should save that money and splurge on something then.

Part of me says -GO ANYWAY! I could really use the pick me up! And, I've spent a lot more money on travel in '06 than I have planned for '07...another $600 isn't going to throw things off by that much! Besides, I should have a good tax return coming!

I do need to check on one work thing to make sure it's ok for me to be gone for a couple days. The only other things stopping me are a slight bit of money guilt and a slight bit of embarrassment that this is what I enjoy doing with my time and money.

I should totally go, shouldn't I?????

Definitly you should go. I have booked a wonderful 3 week holiday with free dining plan next year. I am staying at Port Orleans French Quarter spending a silly amount on single room suppliments but what the heck. I have been working all hours so I am going to some where nice. You will enjoy yourself and find all sort of people will talk to you.

Definitely go. :moped:

By posting your travel plans, you might meet up with fellow Dis'ers and make new friends. :dance3:

I would also suggest hanging out in the Dismates chatroom. You might find your Disney Prince to enjoy future trips "home." If not a Prince, you might find new friends there as well for sharing future trips to WDW.
