To go or not to go, that is the question! The Andreu family in suspense!

Following you over from my TR.

Patience is SO cute! She really would look even cuter in a nice pair of mouse ears! :earboy2: I love your pin collection! I think you need to go to get more pins!

Really, I hope you get to go with your family!

Wow - I love your pin collection! That cork-board was a good idea.

And it does sound like you've planted some seeds in their subconscious - who knows if they will sprout ::fingers crosses:: :thumbsup2

Exactly! That was the main thing I wanted to do.. At least get them thinking about it! I think my Dad is the main problem. He just can't shake off the fact that last year, we had a not so great time. He won't give it another try! Even though this would be our seventh year going in a row!

Wow you have a lot of pins. It sure is looking like a trip might be in the works. Keep praying. I have my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted :thumbsup2:cool1:
Thank you! I'll be updating today. I usually do better at updating in the morning but I may have woken up a bit too late today for that :confused3

I really like your pin cork board! that's a really cute idea:goodvibes
Thank you! I'm obsessed with Disney pins! :rotfl:

I am praying for you and your family to be able to share this time together in a magical place.
Your foster sister is adorable and I love her name she would make a beautiful BB princess.
Your cork board displaying your pins is so neat my dh would be envious he started collecting a few that last time we were there and I have been fortunate to find him a few at garage sales and thrift stores(WHO would part with such items:confused3)
It would be great if I get to go in Dec.:santa: to see you and your family strolling past us at one of the parks.

Please thank your brother for serving our country.

Will keep checking in on your PTR to see if you can convince everyone that Disney is the place to be.
Thank you so much! That's great that your husband collects them too.. I think it is the perfect hobby! I can't imagine anyone getting rid of them either! That is crazy! But very fortunate for him :goodvibes

Love the Pin cork board!

Buying a camper and staying at Fort Wilderness would be a great idea. Your dad would have his camper and you would have your Disney Holiday. Maybe your dad could hang out in FW fishing and hiking while the rest of you do the Parks. Have you been to FW before?
I think so too.. I think he'd have a great time staying on a campground because he loves doing that anyway.. So like you said, if he didn't want to go to the parks, he'd have a perfect day anyway! I have been to Fort Wilderness before, but not in the campgrounds. Only in the cabins, so it would be a whole new experience for me. I'm worried it won't be as great as staying at a Disney resort.. No refillable mug.. right? I'm not sure. I need to look up on it more! I know close to nothing about it!

I agree with the Mickey ears part!!! :lmao: Thank you so much, my pins are my pride and joy! And yes! I am yearning to go and get some more!

I'm very picky when it comes to my pins. I always need a new lanyard and try to get pins that are related to my trip. Like for my trip this time I will get pins that remind me of my mom. She told me before she passed that she really wanted a carrosel of progress pin, so I am determined to get one!

So... A couple of new updates!

Tonight we had a family get together so Tarah and Keith could tell us what the baby's gender is. It is..... A girl! :lovestruc A new little Disney princess is going to be born! She will love Disney, and I bet I can see a Bibbity Boppity Boutique visit in her future! princess:

Anyway, it turns out that our fireplace is messed up and could cause some major problems to our roof.. Dad found out today that it is going to cost 3,000 dollars to fix it! :scared1: That is NOT a good thing for Disney :(
Dad is still looking for campers though, so let's hope! There is definitely still a chance :)

I decided if I go this year, I plan on getting as many character pictures as I possibly can! I LOVE taking pictures with characters, but this is about as much as I've ever gotten from past trips:

I really love this one. Atticus looks so happy! Tigger was sneaking up on him and making him laugh!

Tarah and Keith found Stitch on a day they went off by themselves. I was so jealous!

We've taken pictures with Jimminy Cricket and Princess Aurora too, and a lot of the characters from Chef Mickey's, but they were kind of old so I just thought I'd mention them and not show them :)

Just a quick update to let everyone know what is going on.

That'd be SUCH a cool pin! I LOVE The Carousel Of Progress.. It is amazing! It would be so cool to find a pin for that. I've never seen one! Good luck! Let me know if you do find one!

I LOVE character pictures! I am going solo, as you know from my PTR, so I will feel a little goofy at first, but I am thinking about doing character meals, what do you think?

I hope everything works out! sorry about your fireplace:sad2:
you said a camper, are you all thinking about doing the fort wilderness?

Gonna jump in on here too. Your sister is gorgeous!!! I am a foster sister as well, my parents had at least 50 fosters come through during my childhood. We adopted my younger sister when she was 4. She came to us at 2 1/2. Most agencies will approve an out of state trip if it is for something like Disney. I know that at least half of my "siblings" were able to go at some point in time. My parents never wanted to put the kids in vacation homes. As far as they were concerned, they were their "kids" and they were gonna join in, lol:lmao:

Hope all goes well for you , it is tough being a grown up! Hopefully the fireplace won't be too much of an issue.

Thank you! I'm a little late replying here, but I will explain that in my next post. That's really cool that you guys took foster children with you :) That makes me feel better knowing that they will probably let her go! Thanks for reading :)

Hello everyone!! It's been quite a while since I've written anything on here. Honestly, I just got depressed because it did not seem like we would be going. And we did not. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years passed with no Disney trips or plans, and I cannot pretend that it did not put a huge damper on my mood. I did not even want to get on this website because it made me so sad to see everyone else going!

However, CHANGE OF PLANS!!

On Christmas my mother bought my sister and I some Disney trading pins, but it still did not seem like we were ever going to go.

A couple of days ago, my dad and mom found a really nice camper that they LOVE... and thanks the Disney heavens, they want to go to Disney and camp there!!!

I had just woken up and walked downstairs when my Dad said something about a reward thing for his credit card that had to do with Disney World.. I had already given up on going anytime soon so I just said, "Yeah, that's nice.." Not really even thinking about it. And then he mentioned how he'd like to take the new camper to Disney!!

My whole face lit up. I could not believe it. I had just woken up from a dream about Disney. I would say that it was some kind of prophetic dream, but seeing as I dream about Disney almost every night, I don't think so

Anyway, Dad told me to start looking for dates to go. He said to look for a time in April...... Which wouldn't work, because I am in school. Strike one. Dad's aggravation already starting.. So I look frantically in my school handbook and there I have spring break during a week in April! Great! So I go to book it.. No luck. Booked up. Strike two.

I call up Disney and talk to one very rude lady and one very helpful, nice man. I ask my parents about going from May 23-28.. They think it's a great idea!! So we think we're all set... Until Dad looks at his phone and sees that it's on a Wednesday. He gets aggravated again and says no. So... Strike three right?

Nope :)

We are going from the 25th-31st..

The best part?! I'll be turning 18 at Disney World!!! :bride:

Who is the happiest person in Tennessee right now?

ME.

So glad to hear! You will love Fort Wilderness.:cloud9: We had the best time ever!!! Looking forward to hearing about your plans. :cool1:

That's great! Did you stay in a camper or in the cabins?
I've stayed in the cabins before, but do not know what to expect about the camping.

Now that we know for sure that we're going, it was only a matter of time before more problems came to the forefront. Isn't that how it always goes?

We are not sure who is going and who isn't going.

My sister, Tarah is very undecided about whether she will go or not. She is two weeks away from her due date right now.

Her baby, Avah, will be just two months old when we go. She isn't sure that she wants to do that. Her husband, Keith, will not be able to go due to work. So she is definitely worried about watching after her son, Atticus (6) and her infant baby. I told her I would help, of course, but I can see where she'd be worried.

Bryan and Jin were not sure whether they could come, but now it seems like they can, so that's great!

But the main problem is this: Patience.

She is my foster sister (if you haven't read previous posts) and she is the most spoiled child I have ever come across. We give her everything she wants (starting to regret this) and she does anything she wants. The whole family is starting to realize it may not be the best idea to bring her with us to Disney, even though we love her.. The only person who is not realizing this is my Mom. She is in denial. :confused3

Patience is very bratty. I hate to say it, because I love her to pieces, but I have never met a baby that is as mean as she! She will scream at the top of her lungs if she doesn't get her way. She is very demanding and loud. The only reason we keep her around is her ridiculously cute face :cloud9:

She's not all bad. A lot of the times she is adorable and does some of the funniest/cutest things. Her bad side comes out mostly when we go out to eat with her, when we go to the mall with her, etc. So we are majorly worried about Disney World. She would not want to be carried (which breaks our backs anyway.. She is not a slender baby), she would not want to be in the stroller most of the time, she won't want to sit still (while we are eating or in line), she won't want to do a lot of things. She will not be able to ride a lot of rides, which our family loves to do.

I love Patience a lot, but my Mom refuses to listen to any of our worries. When I was a baby, my mother left me with my grandmother and went to Disney, but for some reason she absolutely does NOT want to leave Patience here. And that's the main problem. The rest of the family knows it will be very, very challenging to bring her with us to such a hectic place.

Any suggestions or comments?

Only 89 days until we leave!

I'm not having much luck with this pre-trip report.

Nobody seems very interested! :confused3

It's okay though. I kind of like actual trip reports more because I like to see pictures of Disney and hear the stories. So I feel like I will have more luck with that. I'll be on here reading everyone's pre trip reports and trip reports (because I LOVE them and they keep me sane!) and occasionally writing on this, but for the most part I am just excited about the trip and counting down the days!!! :thumbsup2

63 more days!! I am so excited!!!!

I have been wearing a Disney pin every day in honor of my Disney countdown!
I know that no one is really reading this, but I'm pretty certain that my Trip Report is going to be read when I write it, so I'm just doing this to stop myself from drowning in excitement!

Tarah, Keith, and their baby Avah are not going due to work and the fact that Tarah doesn't want to take Avah at such a young age. Atticus IS going though!! :woohoo: I'm so excited!

We're going to surprise him. He still knows NOTHING about it and we're probably going to tell him in the car. Not sure if it will be in the car right after we leave or in the car when we're almost there.. Personally, I think it'd be funner to do when we're almost there, but we'll see.

Bryan and Jin are going, so that's a plus too.

So that makes seven people going in all: Mom, Dad, Me, Atticus, Cameron, Bryan, and Jin. WOOOOOOOO!!!!! We're going from May 25-31st. I am so ready for it!
