Well, here it is in a nutshell. I am getting a little weather depressed up here in Maine and am thinking about taking my 3 DS's (8, 6 and 3) for a little impromptu trip to the world on 3/30. Here is my dilema:
1) We were just there in early December, should we still go?
2) We aren't going for sure again until 2/2007, that's a long time, we should definately go.
3) 3/30 - 4/4 would cost me about $1800 (including airfare, AKL, rental car and seasonal AP for DS3 as we are FL residents) but the boys would miss 4 days of school.
4) Only going 3/30 - 4/3 would cost me about $100 more (increase in airfare  ), but the boys would only miss 3 days of school.

I really don't know what to do. I want to go and the money isn't really the issue. Although we have the money to go, I keep telling myself that it isn't really responsible of me to take another trip when we just got back in December. On the other hand, my boys are only going to be little for so long and I am really going to want to get out of Maine by the time April rolls around. BTW, I have already decided that taking the kids out of school is just okey dokey for my family, so I don't want to start that debate again :teeth: .

So, there it is. Come on guys, help me make up my mind. Do you think Everest will be up and running? TIA

Go! You know you want to! ;) Seriously, if money isn't an issue, then why not go?

I just went in August and I'm going again in two weeks!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
We got back from WDW/Wonder on 12/19, and leave for DL on Friday.

I am sitting here conniving my way back to WDW the EXACT SAME DATES you are! And we already have an August WDW trip planned!!! And it's not cold here!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Of course you should go!!!!!

Okay, so which do I do? 4 nights for more money, but kids out of school for 3 days. or 5 nights for less money but kids out for 4. See what I mean? Dilemas, Dilemas!

Go and have a fabulous time we are going in august and then again in december can never have too many trips to disney do the 5 nights for less money :sunny:

Go and have a fabulous time!!!! I would do the 5 days because at your kiddos ages 1 extra day really doesn't mean much. (No school debate please - IMO).

DO IT!!! We were just there in Oct and we're going back in 2 weeks :cool1: , kids are little just for a short time, we're planning on maxing it as much as possible. Also, I don't worry that much about taking them out of school.....go for the extra day, ours will be out 2 weeks (Oct and Feb) for Disney vacations!!!

Totally go......and do the 5 days. One more day out of school won't make that much difference. If you have the cash, and you really wanna go, just do it! I don't think you'll regret it (I know I wouldn't). Have a great time and don't look back! :wizard:

Just do it! The last time we went was 4 years ago and I cannot believe how much my kids have grown in that short time! The are only small for such a short time. My kids still talk about our last trip and how special the memories are.....you have to go. I would go every year or more if I could!

Have a great time!

Helen

Okay then, I guess I am on my way. One last dilema. Here is the run-down. We arrive at AKL at about 6:00 pm. We then spend Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon at the world. When should I leave? If I spend the extra night, my flight would leave at 7:00 am (Tuesday morning), meaning I would have to leave for the airport by 5:00 am :scared1: . Or, there is a flight that leaves at 8:15 pm on Monday night. That would mean I would still get Monday in the world, only have to pay for 4 nights at AKL, but we wouldn't land until 11:15 and wouldn't be home from the airport until 1:00 am. What to do?

Go and have a great time - We went in November and are going back in April - 3rd trip in a year.... have fun and enjoy the time with your boys - don't worry about school...

We were there in Oct and Dec...and we're going back the last week of March. I say: GO!!!

Go, for the 5 nights, at their age missing 4 days of school is really fine, you will love it, and will feel so much better, I live in Upstate NY and we go every February, I do get depressed every winter from the cold and lack of sunshine, I figure it is a lot cheaper than paying for a psychologist......

Life is too short - make the plans not too stress you out, its a vacation... make the MOST out of it... life is too short, the kids are young enough that it wont hurt or impact the knowledge they miss at school - trust me!! They will rise above missing 4 or 5 days of school!!

Is there nothing later than 7 AM on the Tuesday? You would be getting up at 4:30 at the absolute latest, so you will have an early night the night before. I'm really not a morning person so I would have to go with the night flight. Unless there was something mid-afternoon, which would give you time for a nice leisurely breakfast or maybe a few park hours before leaving
