To Go Boxes?

So my family is using the dining plan during our upcoming trip. This is our first time using it so we'll be tracking things to see if this is a cost-effective choice for us.

It sounds like there is going to be A LOT of food involved in this. Do the TS restaurants offer "To-Go Boxes" for uneaten food? Or say we're stuffed after dinner, but we'd like to take dessert back to our room. Does anyone do that?

Thanks for any input!

Yes you can.

I've gotten my uneaten portions of foods wrapped up at the California Grill and the Yachtsmen before. They made a wonderful breakfast the next morning. :D

I had my dessert wrapped up from a couple of places and ended up having to throw it away a couple of days later. Our fridge was getting full but my stomach was full too! :rotfl:

I was wondering a similar thing. Does anyone know if you can have a whole meal packed up "to go"? I'm just thinking we may end up with super cranky kids one night and they might not be able to sit through a table service. I know you are thinking, "that is what counter service is for." It's just it might be nice to have a good meal in the room.

I was wondering the same thing ,after eating some of the entree I am always full ,so I like to take my food to go. I hope they have take -out boxes

We had a birthday cake at Spoodles, but they were unwilling to take responsibility for leftovers until we got back from Epcot. We ended up throwing out the take out because we didn't want to take it through Epcot for an hour. It's still our favorite restaurant.

You cannot order "to go" food from any of the TS restaurants at the podium. However, once you are seated and your food is served you can then ask for it to be boxed up. Then of course is the problem of getting it from the restaurant back to your room, and can be a real problem if it is from a park restaurant and/or you are using Disney trasportation.

I once got the ribs from Flame tree Barbecue in AK to go. They wrapped the plates up in foil. Not exactly carry out, but it worked. I put them in a bag and took them back to our room.

Im thinking we'll be needing To Go boxes after our dinner in Italy. We're squeezing 3 days of Dining Pkg TS into 1.5days! DH arrives in FL our last night at AKL
Dinner at Boma Sat night, lunch at Teppenyaki Sun, and then dinner in Italy Sun night.
It may be a good thing we only need to walk back to the BCV to get the leftovers into the fridge

Beaches and Cream is an exception to that rule. You can get take out. (But our server said that the new manager wanted to end that.)

Maybe because B&C is the only table serve restaurant with a take-out window (maybe there are others, but I can't think of any). I've had them box up leftovers at R&C and CRT. And yes, they do make great breakfasts. Stickey Toffee Pudding is a great breakfast food!

Actually B&C is more of a carry out location with some table service and is not primarily Table Service.

When we were at the Beach Club in May, the only food available "to go" was ice cream, and burgers and some other items but not the full menu, and you could only get these items TO GO after 8. With the exception of ice cream.
