I am wondering if others have had the same situation I am in and if so, how did it turn out.

My dh & I took our dgkd's to DW 8 wks ago. It was a lot of fun but we also had a whole lot of problems. Long story short, we didn't get to see/do even 1/2 of what I anticipated. I am planning to go back Sept 2014, adults only, with my siblings. I sincerely want my husband to go too. He says he isn't ready to go back yet, but has no problem with me going without him. I feel so selfish and guilty to even consider going without him that I am not sure I can make myself do it, but I really want to go and experience all of Disney.

Has anyone had a similar situation and how did you decide what to do? I know it is more than a yr. off but it is on my mind all the time. I will very much appreciate any input. Thanks.

While my situation is different, I still felt guilty when I first decided to go on a solo trip. I had wanted to go solo for awhile but felt guilty because I am a single mom and felt bad going without my kids. I finally decided if I was married, I would not feel bad going without the kids, so as a parent, I deserved the time away to re-energize.. I finally went in March 2011 and went again December 2012 with my kids' blessings. I am looking forward to going solo again, hopefully in the next year.

If your husband supports you going, don't feel guilty and go and have a blast. :thumbsup2

Go! You'll have a great time and come home a much happier mom!

Don't feel guilty - go and enjoy yourself!

I had a slightly different situation. Had a business trip to WDW in June. DW couldn't go and didn't understand why I would want to go to the parks without the family. I didn't think twice, though. I went and had a great time, going when and where I wanted, without having to reach a consensus on what to do next, or wait for everyone to get ready. I'd do it again in a minute.
