Get ready for the time of your life!

I only have 12 days left here. And it feels very bizarre to say that. I'm kind of in denial about leaving. I am excited to be going home, but I am going to miss this place more than I can possibly explain.

Best five months of my life. Yes, there will be many many times when you are extremely depressed. There will be days when you just want to pack up and go home. But at the end of your program, when you have just a few days left like me, you'll realize just how amazing this was.

Just my bit of advice: don't give in to the depression and go home early. I know a few people who self termed. I know I would regret it so much.

Also, please do take advantage of every single moment you have here. My biggest regret has been that I didn't spend more time trying new things. I don't know how many times I said "I'm here for 5 months. I can do that later!". And now here I am, 12 days left and only 1 day off between now and when I go home. And there is sooooo much I wish I would have tried.

This program really is amazing. Get ready for the time of your life!

I wish Disney had a program like this for us older seniors (+55). Wouldn't that be fun!

I want to retire to Florida (it's what we Jewish people in New England do!) and work at WDW. Not quite a program, but still fun :-)

This was me in May, you said it exactly how I would've! And here I am now 7 months later, 3 weeks from going back :)

What things would you suggest not be missed by the spring CPers?

I'll just throw my two cents in b/c she's probably busy finishing up those last few exciting days :)

me and my roommates did a TON of stuff actually, we really took advantage of the area. we visited nasa, spent a day exploring downtown orlando which was a blast, made quite a few beach trips to both coasts, did universal and the city walk, all the malls are fun, we even took a two day trip and stayed at a super fancy resort in the florida keys! there's so much around, just do it all!
some of the things i wish i had done and will be sure to do this time is: go on the big swing thing over by the skycoaster in downtown kissimmee, discovery cove, Wonderworks, the everglades and i'd like to go see the fountain of youth!

Get excited Spring CPs!!

I only have 3 shifts left of my CP (and 6 days before I go home), and I still can't believe its over. The time goes by SO fast.

Luckily for me, I decided to stay down here! I get the keys to my apartment on Friday, I'm so excited. So I'll be back in about a month, working as a seasonal CM until I get full-time status (I';m on a waitlist right now).

But anyway. Have an amazing time, and it was seriously some of the best times in my life. I won't lie to you, it was tough sometimes. Long shifts, annoying guests, roommate issues, homesickness (especially this past week!), but I pushed through it all and didn't give in. I've made some of the greatest friends ever, and found 2 awesome roommates (well, in a few days they will be my roommates), and made so many fantastic memories!

Just take advantage of everything. Cast members have so many opportunities others dont. Dont put something off because you think you'll have plenty of time to do it later.

Go to all the parks often, and see all the shows. I never got to see all the Studios shows. And Im sad about that. Make friends and learn to love your job. Even though it WILL be tough at times.

Just remember, no everything will be as picture perfect as you are imagining it. Lots of things here are a lot different than I'd expected. But just take things as they come and remember to have fun, and your program will be amazing.

Thankyou so much for this post! Every once in a while I have doubts about doing the program but posts like these make me remember how much I want to do it!

Are you glad you did the Fall CP? I think I'd rather do Fall because I'd love to spend Christmas and the other holidays in WDW at least once! Also I think the weather is more suitable hehe. But I do know that it can be so busy around the holidays that you don't even have a chance to enjoy that you're there for Christmas/Thanksgiving/Halloween/New Years. Would you ever consider doing Spring?

Being here for the holidays has been fun, but just be warned, it wont feel like the holidays. Everyone here all had the same complaint as me: It didn't feel like Christmas.

Me, personally, I didn't mind. I came here to do the program, and it was fun regardless. I'll celebrate the holidays with my family when I am home. But to see the holiday decorations is amazing. I was at MK for New Years last night. And looking at the castle decorated still gives me chills.

Reading that got me very excited to do this! I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I've read around and there are a lot of negative people out there who talk about it being "slave labor" and "miserable, grueling work" and saying I'd regret it. But I knew there had to be two sides to the story. I am a huge Disney fan and I can't see myself not having a good time there for the most part! Thanks for putting some good reviews out there! :thumbsup2

I'm extremely excited about arriving for the program!! Can't believe that before I know it its going to be less than a month away!!!! Arriving 2/21 and cannot wait for the time of my life!!!!

Just be warned, it goes by really fast!

It seems like just yesterday I was counting down the days until I left.

If you are not ready to leave at the end of your program, can't you extend on longer?

You can apply for an extension, out of about the 15 people I know who applied only 1 didn't get it, so it doesn't seem that difficult.
