We have been to WDW over a dozen times and have usually taken advantage of early-entry when it is in effect. However, we have heard that it is sometimes better to attend one of the non-EE parks, as they are less crowded. What do you prefer when staying on site?

We like to take advantage of the early entry parks, then take off around noon to a non-EE park.

Usually provides us the opportunity to catch some great attractions when they would otherwise be very busy.

Good luck,

I'm interested in the results of your poll.
I have a thread going now with the exact same question. We're trying to plan our trip and we're staying on-site for the first time so I was wondering the same thing.
So far, I've gotten quite a mix of results! Doesn't help make my decision any easier but it's sure interesting to see hear the varying viewpoints.

It depends, as we like to alternate our early mornings and our late evenings, it just works better with kids.

So - if we are going to be at the EE park at EE rope drop we will do EE and ususally stay until about noon for MK, 1-2pm for the other parks. If we were out late the night before at Fantasmic or Illuminations we will hit the park that had the EE the previous day and arrive mid morning and stay through dinner. This way we can hit the resort early evening, swim and relax and get to bed at a reasonable hour. Alternating EE with late nights works well for us!

We also head to the EE park and stay until between 11 and noon depending on the crowds. Then we head out of the park for lunch and to another park for the day.

We like to do all the nighttime shows - Illuminations, Wishes, Fantasmic, and it's just too hard to get up that early after staying up late! Plus, I have teenagers and all of us except DH are night people, not morning people. Our first few trips I forced them to do EE, but now I've realized that it's not worth it when we're cranky all day.

We always go during slow times so we have never seen the need to wake up that early. We avoid the EE parks. :)

We are only doing a couple of EE parks: MK and Epcot. DD is an early riser, but the rest of us are not. ;)

I usually avoid Studios because nothing is open for small children at EE. I have done Epcot in the past but again, not much for the preschool set.

I wish they would do an EE for WS. I would love to wander around during a low crowd time and enjoy the scenery. Pretty hard to do with a stroller.

We go to EE when we can. It does not govern our whole schedule, only when it fits. We find that it is good for the first 2 hours and then it gets kinda crowded. We usually return to the resort after lunch anyway.
