We will have two full days in the parks, staying at the DLH (August). One of our days is an EE day in Disneyland. Should we do it, or avoid it? I know exactly what I would do in WDW (do it!) but wondering how it all works in DLR. Anyone have experience in the summertime? Thanks! (And does the park open at 7:00 if the scheduled time is 8:00??)

Hmm, I would say it depends on what you want to do. Yes, the EE would be at 7:00 if the scheduled opening time is at 8:00. This past week we loved EE because Fantasyland was a ghost town! A HUGE percentage of people were running to Nemo, so during that hour we managed to ride every EE attraction except Space Mountain. It was so nice we opted to do it two more times during our stay. If you have young children who want to do the slow loading Fantasyland rides, EE is perfect.

YES, you should definitely do EE!!! It looks like a lot of people when you're waiting for the gates to open, but they get spread out in the park really quickly and most rides are a walk-on. It is a particularly good time to do Fantasyland and then head to one of the mountains before the park officially opens.

And then you've got a grace period until about 10:30 or 11:00 before the crowds really pick up. People just think they should sleep in and take it easy on vacation. (silly people!:lmao: )

Yes, do it! If you have only two days, you have only two shots at doing many nonfastpass rides without long waits.

Those rides include:
Nemo
Peter Pan
Matterhorn
Dumbo
Mr Toad's Wild Ride
Alice In Wonderland
Storybook Canals

The way the Nemo lines are going, you should try to get on that as early as possible one of your days, and use the other day to hit the other rides.

If you don't use EE, those rides listed with have anywhere from a 45 -180 min wait by the time you get into the park at opening!

Use your EE to do FL. We were there @7am on tuesday and it was great. Almost No waiting on all the rides that were open. I would not waste my EE day on Nemo. After riding it I don't think it worth losing your EE or 4-5 hours of waiting time.

Things are different here. At WDW, you can just go to another park w/o EMH, but at DLR the only other park is DCA, which doesn't open until 10, 2-3 hours after EE. So there is no advantage of NOT using EE, unless you want to sleep in, which I do not recommend at all. Plus, during EE, you can get the popular FL rides done w/o long waits. At DL, as opposed to WDW, none of the FL rides have FP.

dose any one know what time ee opens park on nov 27th-dec2ed?

Well, it's an hour before park opening and the official park hours haven't been posted, but I would assume EE would be at 8, with official park opening at 9.

I agree with this except that i don't think that Storybook Canal Boats are open during EE (it would be nice if they were).

Our experience (critique) with EE can be read here:

Have fun. :thumbsup2

Darn! That was part of my plan for my EE day!

So when is a good time to ride the Canal Boats? Right after EE ends?

Oops. You are correct. They are not open for EE. I was just thinking of FL lines that are so long and move so slowly. That is definitely one of them.

Yes. Be there right when they open it up.

EEs are typically Mon, Tues, Thur, and Sat.

Exactly. I would have given this exact explanation myself but was in a hurry. DLR29 is right on with WDW comparison.

I know this has been asked 900 times before, and I searched every thread for the info, but I'm just doublechecking incase some of those threads were outdated...

We're staying at the DLH on DVC points (so no package) for ten days in July. We have eight day passes for the parks from getawaytoday (ticket agent). Can we use EE for as many of those days (assuming it's offered) as we want?

^yes, because you are staying at DLH. EE is offered M, T, TH, Sa.

im thinking of going on a sunday. so mon tuesday thursday and sat ill have ee..hay that way we could do fantsy land, and nemo at least once early.. but i do have a question has any one ever did extra day at hotels just to have 1 day in between to rest and relax in pool
