To DDP or not.

I can't decide if we should just pay OOP or go for one of the DDP. And I am not, I repeat, NOT a math person. English? I'm your girl. LOL

Our trip dates are 12/17-12/23/11. We will be arriving at approximately 5pm and departing at 7am.

I will be making my ADR's on Monday, for the following restaurants-

Chef Mickey's for breakfast (1TS)
Donald's Safari breakfast (1TS)
Ohana character breakfast (1TS)

Cape May Cafe buffet dinner (1TS)
Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic!) (1TS)
Hoop Dee Doo (2TS)
Le Cellier for dinner. (2TS)

So, for check in day, will we receive the DDP for that day? Or does it start the following day?

I figure we would use most of our snack credits for the other breakfasts we will need, and pay OOP for QS meals for the remaining lunches and dinners we will need.

Should I pay OOP for everything, get the DDP or DxDDP? Obviously, if free dining becomes available for our trip dates, we will go with that.

"So, for check in day, will we be allocated the entire 3 meals for that day? Or does it start the following day?"

Your credits start the day you check-in.If you are on the regular DDP you only get 1TS, 1 CS & 1 snack a day.To get 3 meal credits you need to be on the Deluxe plan

Someone else may get more specific for you. At $13 per child, you may save a few dollars on them. But most of your meal choices would be wasting money on the adult credits.
You are basically paying $30 per adult credit. I don't think any of the breakfasts come close to $30... So each breakfast is a financial loss.
And paying $60 for a 2 credit meal-- Hoop De Doo, I believe is $52... So you would be losing a few dollars per adult. At best, Les Cellier would be break even.

So my gut says.. Unless you add a couple of expensive TS dinner/lunches... The ddp would be a waste of money for you.

Also... You have 9 ts credits allocated, but you will only be getting 6 credits, unless you upgrade to deluxe.
If you got the regular ddp, and paid oop for 3 meals... Would you still have use for 6 cs meals?

For the last three years, they have had a free dining promo that covered those dates. They will most likey have a FD promo for those dates again this year and they will probably announce those dates in July or August. If they announce the free dining promo for those dates you will be able to add the code to your existing reservation. Also even if they don't release a FD promo for those dates, typically, if you are planning on doing at least one table service/character meal per day, the dining plan will save you money - the savings can vary by family and restaurant choice, but it should save you vs. out-of-pocket.
