My wife and I are going to the Food and Wine Festival next weekend. We will only be there for 2 nights. We will arrive around 3pm on Friday and leave about the same time on Sunday.

The real issue is, Friday night we are eating at Jiko and Saturday night we will be at the Brown Derby. (We have reservations.). I know both are signature dining for the DDP so that would mean we would use both table service credits at Jiko and pay cash at the Brown.

So - DDP or just go cash?

My inclination is to say no, but I think you need to run the numbers. It would cost $200+ (I googled the price of the DP and $52pp/pd came up - I'm not sure if that's correct) to purchase the dining plan which would cover one dinner, 2 cs and 2 snacks and then add the cost of the other dinner. If you are going to the festival, are you more likely to graze through the booths and just eat dinner? Will you be adding appetizers to your dinners?

Another kink we are looking at is the TiW card. We are AP and DVC so we get a discount on the card, so we are looking at doing the TiW card.

Not to confuse the issue or anything. :)

I love the TIW card! We broke even with the TIW card without eating at the signature restaurants during one 4 night trip. Granted we enjoy nightcaps plus drinks and appetizers with dinner on vacation : ) Do you have other trips when you'll be able to use it?

Two nights pre-cruise in January and a week in September (with maybe 6-8 other people). The card will pay for itself quickly but I don't know if the card is better than DDP.
